Sharwyn's 2nd Birthday Party

Today is Sharwyn’s birthday and I was invited to her party @ the eXplorerkid (Downtown East). But before that, we dropped by GongGong’s place first. I think Daddy put a “sleeping spell” on the car. I can’t explain the reason I keep falling asleep in the car whenever the ride is slightly longer.

Over at GongGong’s place, I spent most part of my time taking my nap. I had a quick lunch before going down to Downtown East.

Happy Birthday Sharwyn!!!
We arrived at around 2pm and most of my friends were already there. It was a big turnout – Gabriel, Athena, YingXin, Faye, Cindy, Jeannieve, Justin, Kieran and of coz the birthday girl – Sharwyn, were all there.
My friends

For hygiene purpose, we are required to remove our footwear and wear socks in the compound – but Daddy missed out this detail. Fortunately, they do sell sock at the counter.

When we were inside, we noticed something was missing (to be precise, someone was missing) – Uncle Eric and Aunty Sharon were nowhere in sight. Later we discovered that Sharwyn’s little sister (Shaynnen) was arriving soon and Uncle Eric was accompanying Aunty Sharon at the hospital. It couldn’t be more perfect – both Sharwyn and her little sister sharing the same birth date. Come to think for it, I think that is Aunty Sharon and Uncle Eric’s birthday present for Sharwyn… hehe.

The party commenced with the lunch. Each of us was given a happy meal – consisting of a hamburger, a bag of sliced apple and a pack of apple juice. I didn’t really like the hamburger. Instead, I had red bean paste bun instead while Mommy helped herself to my hamburger. I had apple dipped in caramel dip as dessert – yummy… =)
The makan session

We were ushered to the front of the function room after the makan session. We would be playing some games there. The first game was called “musical chair” - we were supposed to occupy a seat whenever the music stopped. But most of us didn’t know how to play coz we were still too young. In the end, most of the daddies or mummies played along with us and I think they were having more fun than we did… hehe. Sharwyn was a natural - she knew how to grab a seat when the music stopped and she even will clap when she got a seat. I didn’t participate, as I preferred to watch by the side.

The second game was a dancing game. We were required to dance according to the instructions. Most of my friends were having fun while I watched.
The game session

Finally, the cake cutting session followed. Sharwyn had a big cake with Barney and his friends printed on top of it. We sang birthday song and even gathered for a picture. Daddy let me ate the whole piece of cake on my own - it was yummy especially the creamy part.

Finally, eating the yummy cake… hehe

The party was unofficially over after the cake cutting session as all of us adjourned to the adventure playground for free play. There are two ball pools and the main play area is a maze-like structure that requires a lot of climbing and crawling when you navigate in it.
The ball pool

Daddy followed me around in just case I got into any trouble. I didn’t have a good feeling about this place at first coz the flooring isn’t “solid” – it is a net like structure and my feet are so small and I kept stepping into the openings. Daddy had to carry, push and pull me along for most part of the journey. And we did A LOT of climbing and crawling until he felt like he was back in army training again.
Climbing and more climbing…

There are two areas that I like most. One of them is the slides. There are 2 slides there – one is really steep and long while the other one is shorter. The long slide was really scary and Daddy didn’t allow me to slide down it alone. For the shorter slide, Daddy would let me slide down first and followed behind after I reached the bottom. The second area that I like is called the Kangaroo Room where I can bounce myself up and down… hehe.

After a few round, I became more daring and adventurous. I started to do more climbing and crawling and didn’t mind walking or crawling on the net. It was really a great workout for me and Daddy… hehe. We stayed until around 5pm before making our way home.

A Conversation With Daddy and Mommy
While lying on the bed with Daddy and Mommy in the evening.

Daddy: “TingTing, who roars?”
Me: ”Lion.”
Mommy: ”TingTing, who has a long trunk?”
Me: ”Elephant.”
Daddy: ”TingTing, who has a long neck?”
Me: ”Giraffe.”
Mommy: “TingTing, who moos?”
Me: “Cow moo.”
Daddy: “TingTing, who give you milk to drink?”
Me: “Mommy”
Daddy and Mommy: “Ha ha… ha ha…”
(I think Daddy was looking for the answer “cow” but technically I was still correct… =P)
