Happy Deepavali!

Today is a Saturday and also a public holiday – Deepavali. It doesn’t really matters to us coz Daddy and Mommy don’t work on Saturday anyway. It was also a hazy morning. Due to the haze, Daddy wasn’t keen in any outdoors activities. As a result, we spent the whole morning at home. I hadn’t had home-made breakfast for a long time and Mommy prepared a half boiled egg for me today… =).

Daddy was in the mood for some “renovation” work and he did some “upgrading” to my “house” (a big box) – now I have windows… =).

I had my lunch at home before we hit the road for Suntec City – Body Shop was conducting a warehouse sales there.

Shopping @ Suntec City
Once we were @ Suntec, we headed towards the foodcourt as Daddy and Mommy were very hungry. In order for them to have a peaceful meal, Daddy bought me a red bean paste bun so that I could occupy myself. It was even time for dessert – Mommy’s favourite Yummy yoghurt.

The hall, where the Body Shop Warehouse Sales was held, was rather empty with the crowd gathering only around the trolleys of products (leaving a big space in the middle – just nice for me to run around… =)). Daddy decided to bring me around the place while Mommy could shop peacefully.

I had a ride on Daddy’s shoulder. I have better balancing sense now and it is less frightening for me. I know how to hold on to Daddy’s head with both my hands. I can even control Daddy’s direction of move by turning his head towards the direction I wanted to go – it was really fun. Without my constant bugging, Mommy managed to complete her shopping in a relatively short time. And we proceeded to the Koi Garden @ Basement one.

The first thing that caught Daddy’s eyes was that the fishes there are overfed coz all of them are so FAT and they are not interested in the fish food in the water. Daddy wasn’t keen in letting me to feed them with more food. But hearing that I wanted to “throw” and seeing that I looked so pity while other kids were feeding the fishes happily, he asked Mommy to buy a pack of fish food. I managed to feed them ¼ pack while Daddy told me to save the rest when we go over to Sentosa next time.

Kite Flying @ Marina South
With our shopping done @ Suntec and it was still early, Mommy suggested going to Marina South to take a walk (since the sky wasn’t really that hazy today).

Over there, Daddy brought me a kite. It was a good day for kite flying – it was very windy and the sky was so clear. There were a lot of people there flying kites as well. Daddy managed to launch the kite into the sky rather effortlessly. I am still too young to fly a kite on my own, so Daddy assisted me with my kite flying - this was my first time flying a kite. Mommy also enjoyed herself as it was her 1st time flying a kite too… hehe.

We arrived at home at around 7pm and we were so tired that all of us knocked out without having our dinner.
