Shopping For A Car

Today was a sad day as Argentina got knocked out from World Cup 2006 early this morning. Daddy was still mourning the loss. Anyway, my coughing was almost gone after visiting Dr. Koh although I had only had taken one dose of the medication.

Car Hunting
With the (soon) arrival of my little DiDi/MeiMei, Daddy and Mommy anticipated a possible logistic (transportation) problem. They felt that getting our own transportation may help and are seriously considering buying a car. This will be their second most expensive purchase (after the new flat). And off we went to Leng Kee Road where there are many showrooms for cars.

It was a sunny morning (too sunny for my liking). I hate it when the sunlight hits directly onto my eyes. I will close my eyes and complain “light… light…”.

Daddy and Mommy were looking for an entry-level car. Their first stop of the day was Borneo Motors (Toyota). It was really crowded there (@ around 10.30am). I was roaming around freely and peeping into the car boot while Daddy and Mommy was busy looking around the car. Mommy likes Yaris but it is kind of expensive. Daddy felt that Vios may be a good choice. As for me, I like Picnic coz I was having a lot of fun climbing in and out of it – but it is way off Daddy/Mommy’s budget.

Second stop was just directly opposite – Starsauto (Home of Chevrolet). It was a very contrasting scene as we were the only people around (except than the Sales people). Aevo comes with a decent price tag but it looks slightly inferior (to Vios) plus a lack of safety features. The sales person wasn’t in keen in selling either.

Hyundai was the third stop of the day. There was a decent crowd there but the cars don’t impress (not even the price tag). But Mommy and I did get a free bowl of Mee Rebus and almond jelly from them… =P

Finally, our last stop was Cycle & Carriage (KIA and Mitsubishi). KIA Rio’s price tag is the most attractive of all cars Daddy and Mommy have seen so far. Nice looking interior design looks classy enough. But fuel consumption still a main issue to consider.

By that time we were done, it was approaching noon. I hadn’t had my morning milk and gave Daddy and Mommy some warnings. They decided to call it a day and make our way home. Upon reaching home, I had my milk and knocked out. The whole family knocked out for 3 solid hours plus. It was my record nap and I missed my lunch (I woke up around 4.30pm).

Playground Time
It had been a long time since we last paid time at the playground, so Daddy and Mommy brought me down in the late afternoon.

Now, I can climb up the ladder without any assistance and dare to go down the slide without Daddy’s help as well. But there is still a slight problem - my feet will get stuck between my butt and the slide and Daddy has to rescue me from such awkward position. It was a pity that I couldn’t play for too long as GuGu would be coming back for dinner tonight.
I like the plaground… =)

Aidan did something to me before he left just now – he forcefully planted a kiss on my face. His hands held my head in position so that I couldn’t move an inch… yikes. Daddy and Mommy were so bad – they just kept on laughing and laughing non-stop while seeing me kena bullied by Aidan… =(
