Uncle Sunny's Wedding
Daddy and Mommy brought me to Uncle Sunny’s (Mommy’s cousin) wedding dinner tonight. It was held in a Chinese restaurant @ Clarke Quay. We spent a good 15 minutes waiting for a cab – it was extremely difficult to flag down a cab on a Friday evening and equally hard to dial for a cab. Even though Daddy could book a cab, it still required us to wait for 5~7 minutes before the cab could arrive. Luckily, we managed to flag down a cab a minute after the booking – saved $4 of booking fee.
Next, we had problem locating the restaurant. The address wasn’t obvious and there was no map on the invitation card to indicate the actual location. Fortunately, God Granddad gave us a more precise direction through the phone and we finally found it.
The restaurant is located @ the Second level and it is rather small but cosy. It was a boring event for me as I was the only toddler around. Furthermore, there were so many unfamiliar faces around and I didn’t even dare to set my feet on the ground – clinging on to Daddy or Mommy all the time. Daddy entertained me most of the time by showing me the decorations in the restaurant. It took him a full 30 minutes before he successfully “con” me down to walk around the place on my own.

Wearing a new dress from NaiNai
Bribed with puffs to sit in the high chair
Just like any traditional Chinese wedding banquet, the banquet began only @ 8.45pm. But around that time, I was very sleepy and fell asleep on Mommy’s shoulder shortly. I slept through the whole dinner – Daddy and Mommy were the happiest people around coz they could fully enjoyed their food. =(.
Sleeping peacefully in my pram throughout the dinner
I only managed to wake up when dessert was served – talking about prefect timing. We had a stroll along the Singapore River to catch a bus home.
Posing for some photos along the way
Finally we arrived home at around 11.30pm – it was the first time I stayed out until this late.
