Happy Vesak Day
Today is Vesak Day – yet another public holiday =).
As usual, we had no pre-arranged program for that day. Daddy brought his work home to do and he was at it for the whole morning while Mommy spent her time with me. We stayed @ home for the whole morning (didn’t even step out of the house).
When we thought that it would just be another stay-at-home holiday for us, Mommy suddenly suggested visiting TaiMa (Mommy’s maternal grandmum).
Visiting TaiMa @ Toa Payoh
We had lunch at home and by the time we left for Toa Payoh, it was really 3.30pm. It had been a long time since our last visit during the Chinese New Year. As usual, I was very clingy at an unfamiliar place. It took me 15 minutes to get my feet down on the ground (I was either clinging onto Mommy or standing on the sofa before that). And I took me another 15 minutes to venture 3 meters away from Mommy to get a tissue on a nearby coffee table… =P.
While we were waiting for TaiMa to open the door just now, we saw a dog (actually it was a puppy golden retriever – Daddy’s favourite breed) in Mommy’s childhood friend’s house. I kept on going to the door and peeped into the house, trying to look for that puppy. Finally I successfully pestered Daddy into bring me outside to look for it.
It took the puppy a while to detect our presence at the gate and came towards us. He was very friendly (Daddy said that it is a he) and kept sticking his head out of the gate for Daddy to pat. I did steal a few pats when he wasn’t looking… =P. Everything was fine until he let out a few loud barks. I got scared, cried, clung onto Daddy and demanded Daddy to bring me back into TaiMa’s flat. Daddy commented that the puppy was just saying “Hello” to me. It took me quite a while to clam down and the poor puppy got a scolding from Mommy’s friend.
After bidding farewell to TaiMa, we went home straight as the weather was rainy and NaiNai was cooking our dinner.

A Damaged Memory Card =(
Something unfortunate happened to Daddy’s camera today (or memory card to be precise). Daddy’s memory card failed on him again. But this time, it was more serious. The memory couldn’t even be formatted and Daddy couldn’t find any way to recover the photos inside (lucky we lost only 3 days of photos (20~30 photos) as Daddy does his downloading of photos pretty diligently). Daddy should have seen this coming as it was the second time – Daddy managed to recover the photos last time.
In the evening, Daddy went out to buy another memory card (coz we would be going out tomorrow morning) while I stay at home with Mommy.
