Visit to Singapore Science Center
A Visit to The Singapore Science Center
So exciting – I had a date with some of my friends today. We went to the Singapore Science Center (SSC). Although I needed to wake up early but I am not complaining… =).
In fact, Daddy and Mommy left much earlier so that we could have breakfast @ Uncle Donald’s restaurant. We almost got a shock when we reached the science center coz there are constructions going on there and Daddy and Mommy thought that the whole centre is under renovation. They breathed a sign of relief when they discovered that only the exterior is under construction and the center is still open for business… =).
We were the first to arrive. I had hot cake (with maple sauce), scrambled egg and muffin for breakfast while waiting for the rest to arrive. Actually, I wanted to have some hashbrown but Mommy refused to bring me any =(.

Breakfast @ Uncle Donald’s place
After awhile, my friends arrived 1 by 1 – Gabriel, Jeannieve, Justin, Quinn, Rhyan, RuiYing, Shanice, Sharwyn and YingXin.

The Outdoors Exhibits
We started with some outdoors activities first before the weather got too hot and sunny. Our first stop was the Waterworks (recommended by Aunty Chirs). The Waterworks is an outside water themed area with exhibits that teaches us the importance of water (which is too advanced for my understanding… =P). Basically, I was there to have fun with the water and get drenched… hehe.
Warming up session for me
My favourite feature was the Water Maze. It is a maze with jets of water forming a water “wall”. The layout of the maze changes from time to time and it was really a challenge to navigate through it without getting wet (near impossible). Daddy and I “challenged” the Water Maze and the result – a drenched daughter and father… hehe.
The Water Maze challenge – FAILED!!!
Another scarier feature is the Water Clock tower. You better keep an eye on the 2 BIG buckets up on the tower. The buckets will topple and water will come pouring down when they are full. I thought it would be very painful when the water poured onto us but it seemed that a big KorKor enjoyed that very much. I had a lot of fun getting wet with Daddy… =).
The Indoors Exhibits
As the sun got hotter, we decided to dry myself, changed and get indoors. We took a quick look at the rest of the exhibits but they are too advanced for me to understand.
Other exhibits
Daddy introduced me to this very famous uncle – Uncle Albert Einstein. He said that Uncle Einstein is a great scientist (if not the greatest). You either LOVE him or HATE him – love him for his great scientific findings and discovery or hate him for the science subjects that we have to study… =P.
Me and Uncle Einstein (with Mommy)
Anyway, I was only attracted to a small area with small animal exhibits (gerbil, fishes, hamster etc). The ceiling of the area is so low that Daddy and Mommy had problem coming in.
Checking out the small animal exhibits
There is a TV studio like room. Gabriel and I became newscasters for a moment and guess what – they were on TV… hehe.
New newscasters reporting @ work
Hey… *wave* *wave* I am on TV =P
Lunching in Chinatown
We went off with Aunty Kelly to have lunch @ Chinatown. I fell asleep immediately from the moment we left the science center. And I slept through the ride to Chinatown and the lunch as well (no wonder Daddy and Mommy were so smiley when I woke up – I bet they had a very peaceful lunch). And they didn’t even leave anything for me to eat… =(.
Thank you Aunty Kelly for lending Gabriel’s pram to me for the nap… =)
We did have a short walk around the Chinatown Complex before Uncle Ben sent us home. It was already 4pm when we reached home.
Home Sweet Home
For the rest of the day, we just lazed around @ home coz we were too exhausted to go anywhere after 2 days of activities. Daddy prepared sweet potato-based pasta again for my dinner (coz he knows that I LOVE sweet potato). I ate a BIG portion of it coz I didn’t ate much for lunch.
Lazing on sofa while eating waffle… hehe
And finally NaiNai came back from her KL trip and Daddy and Mommy had some peace while having their dinner.
