A Feverish Issue
Just when Mommy wanted to bring me to get my chickenpox vaccination, I got sick again.
Tuesday
When Mommy came over to fetch me in the evening, she noticed that I was feeling feverish. She thought that my temperature was slightly higher coz I had been running around too much. However, my temperature didn’t drop after the ride home. She decided to give me a dose of Paracetamol and observe how I developed from there.
Wednesday
My fever didn’t subside and it stayed constantly around 38.5 degree throughout the night. Daddy and Mommy decided to send me to Nanny’s place and see if my condition would improve. While at Nanny’s place, my condition didn’t improve and my temperature hit all time high at 39.5 degree. Nanny administered a dose of Voltaren.
Mommy came over to fetch me home at around 1.30pm and she spent the rest of the afternoon looking after me at home while Daddy went back to work.
Thursday
My temperature still lingered around 38.5 degree throughout the night. Although my temperature did drop a little under 38 degree in the morning, it went up again when I was at Nanny’s place.
Although I was still active and still running around at Nanny’s place, my temperature still didn’t go down. Daddy noticed that face didn’t look good when he came over to fetch me in the evening – my face was very pale and my lip was very red. And to make matter worse, I threw out all of my dinner inside the car while we were on our way home. Most of the stuff ended up on my shirt and the car seat. Mommy was so shocked. In the end, Daddy and Mommy brought me to Dr. Koh’s clinic after they had their dinner at home.
Dr. Koh suspected that I might have stomach virus and my throat was very red. He even prescribed antibiotic for me and told Daddy to bring me back to him if I didn’t recover by Monday.
Friday
To play safe, Mommy decided to spend the whole day looking after me at home. Although today was already the third day, my fever still didn’t subside. Other than the high temperature, I was still very active.
Instead of staying in the house for whole day, Mommy brought me down to take a short walk downstairs in the morning. For the rest of the day, I spent most of the time at home watching “Barney” and “Blue Clue”. And I did some finger painting as well.
