A Lazy Sunday @ Home

It was a lazy Sunday morning. I woke up @ around 8am while Mommy was already busy in the kitchen and Daddy still ZZZZZZZZZZZZ. No more Kindermusik lesson or any lesson for me on next few Sundays (until 30 April). I guessed we wouldn’t be going out today after a long day out yesterday.

I took a rare long 3 hour nap (from 12pm to around 3pm). So lucky that my lesson had ended last week, else my ear would suffer from Daddy’s nagging again. Daddy mentioned something about changing my Sunday schedule coz I will be attending 2pm lesson @ GUG in weeks to come.

Eating The Right Thing @ The Right Place
Do you know that I need to do the right thing @ the correct place in order to eat certain food/snack in the house? Funny but true…

When I want to eat raisin, I will climb onto the sofa and point my little finger to the metal rack beside the TV console. NaiNai will give me some raisins… =)

This morning, I pointed to the refrigerator and sat onto the small stool beside the washing machine (coz I remembered that I had my 1st bottle of Yakult @ the same spot 2 Sundays ago) – Daddy and Mommy found that I was so CUTE and rewarded me with a bottle of Yakult (who can resist such a lovely toddler… =P).

It’s Play-doh Time
Mommy opened up the Playdoh set which she had bought sometime ago. She taught me how to use the roller pin to flatten the dough. She used the moulds to cut out different shapes. I was able to pick up the rolling action pretty fast and Mommy was rather excited over that… =). Throughout the session, Mommy kept a very close eye on me coz she didn’t want me to consume any of the delicious looking dough.

Hide-and-Seek
I enjoy playing hide-and-seek with Daddy and BrownBrown (BrownBrown is my teddy bear friend). If I want to play hide-and-seek with him, I will “boo” Daddy and he will get the message. If I want to play with BrownBrown, I will bring BrownBrown to Daddy coz BrownBrown needs Daddy’s assistance to help him to hide… hehe.

Everyone Has a Role @ Home
In this household, everyone has a role:

Mommy:
The Storyteller – I will look for her if I want to “read” any book except for “The Three Little Pigs” (Daddy is the appointed reader for that book).
The “Human Mattress” – Mommy is my “human mattress” for me to lie on when I can’t fall asleep after drink my milk.
The Comforter – Whenever I am upset, scared or depressed, Mommy will be the one I look for to comfort and sayang me. Any other who attempt to comfort me will be “welcomed” with louder cries and screams.

Daddy:
The Milk Maker – Most of my milk feeds are taken care of by Daddy.
The Playmate – I love playing hide-and-seek with Daddy. I will “boo” him when I want to play hide-and-seek. Sometimes, I enjoy playing “catching” with him too (when Daddy comes near me, I will squeak and run away).
The “Police” – Despite being the playmate, Daddy is also the “law enforcer” in the house. Whenever, he comes to pick me up after work, I can’t do anything funny (eg requesting to be carried all the way home). I have to sit in the pram obediently throughout the journey home.

NaiNai:
The Raisin Giver – When I want to eat raisin, I will go to NaiNai on the sofa and I will get raisins from her… hehe.

Me:
The Joy Maker (of coz) – My main job is to be cute and lovable and make everyone in the house laugh… hehe.

My Development Updates
  • Able to identify cat (from pictures and on the street) – but Mommy is too pleased about it coz she discovered that she “shares” name with the cat (I refer both Mommy and cat as “Mee”… =P).
  • Most frequently used words - “throw”, “nono” – actually I speak many other “words” as well but the adults just don’t understand me (hai… what to do???)
  • A great helper @ home – I am an excellent “DHL” toddler (delivering items from one person to another, helping Daddy to dispose rubbish into the bin)
  • Able to overcome single step with the help of the wall or nearby support
  • Able to sit onto my toddler chair without any assistance
  • In the pipeline: potty training, shape sorting, stacking objects, counting
