A Day With Mommy

Practicing my self-feeding skill
Today, Mommy stayed home with me coz they suspected that I must be not feeling very well (since I woke up 3 times last night screaming off my head). And I had fever yesterday morning. Mommy decided to stay home and monitor my condition. I spent my day with Mommy reading books, listening to music, drawing etc. During noon, Daddy even called back to check if I was fine. Mommy passed the phone over to me to “chat” with Daddy for a while. Basically, it was a normal day and Mommy felt that I should be fine… she spoke too early.

During dinner, I started crying and screaming and kept saying “No” to whatever things mummy gave me. Daddy insisted that I was just throwing a tantrum and should be left on the mattress to cry as much as I want. Mommy refused to listen and continue to pacify me with all methods… they even quarrelled over this matter. Finally I was given milk after nodding my head to Mommy’s question if I wanted milk. While I drank, I chew the teat on my left side. Upon seeing that, Mommy suspected that I might be teething since I had been acting “strangely” for the past two days. True enough - my upper left gum is very swollen. The mystery had been solved!!! Mommy was so glad that she did not listen to Daddy’s advice. It must be mother’s instinct that she chose to believe that I was not feeling well. I fell asleep after that milk feed.

Thank you Mommy…
