A Long Long Day Out

Morning @ Singapore Science Centre
I had a date with the usual gang (Athena, Gabriel and Sharwyn). It was a trip to the Singapore Science Centre (SSC). Fortunately, my coughing and running nose cleared up just in time… =).

Daddy made a detour to his office to get something while we were making our way to the SSC. And we still arrived much earlier than the appointed time (as planned) coz Mommy wanted to have our breakfast @ the MacDonald.

While I was having my breakfast, I saw a pond in the outdoor area right next to us and wanted Daddy to bring me out (I was hoping to find some fishes there). But there wasn’t any. We even went around searching all of the surrounding ponds in the area and we found none too. But I didn’t gave up and kept up chanting “fishes… fishes… fishes… fishes… fishes…” in front of Daddy, requesting him to bring me to look for fishes elsewhere. Daddy was almost driven crazy by me… =P
Where were all the fishes???

In the meanwhile, the gang arrived one after another – Athena, Sharwyn and finally Gabriel. (Aunty Kelly, you got to tell him that it is not nice to make ladies wait, ok? =P).

After everyone arrived, the rest of the gang proceeded to the water play area (Waterworks). But I didn’t join them coz I was still recovering from running nose. I remembered that I had a great time there last time and told Daddy that I wanted to play with the water. But Daddy said I couldn’t join my friends this time… so sad. In the end, we went around the center to look at the other displays instead. The displays are still too sophisticated for me to understand. We went to the young children section but the area was under cleaning and it was filled with a chlorine smell. I was ushered out of the area by Mommy in less than five minutes.

The only good part was that Daddy found some fishes in a pond near to the café. At least I felt more contented from seeing some fishes… =P
Finally I found some fishes in the SSC

After making one round in the center, Daddy decided to go to the Waterworks to catch my friends in action. But we were too late as they were done by then. With nothing much to see or do, we decided to go for lunch.

Lunching @ Tampines Mall
Since we intended to go back to visit GongGong after the trip to the SSC, we joined Sharwyn and Gabriel for lunch at Tampines Mall. While making our way there, I took a 30 minutes powder nap in the car. The weather was perfect for a nap – cloudy with light drizzle… =).

We had lunch @ Fish & Co. I had some grilled fish and fried rice. I wanted to have some French fries but Mommy didn’t allow coz I was still having slight cough. It didn’t really matter coz I like the fried rice and grilled fish there… yummy.

After the hearty lunch, we bide goodbye to my friends and went back to pay GongGong and TaiMa a visit.
I entertained myself since YiYi wasn’t around

Christmas Shopping @ OG Chinatown
We left Tampines at around 5pm coz we were meeting NaiNai @ OG Chinatown. She wanted to shop for some Christmas presents and enlisted my help… =).

We were back at my favourite section again – the toy section at Level 4 of OG. Instead of helping NaiNai with the shopping, I spent most of my time standing in front of the sunglasses stand again, trying out various design… hehe. And I managed to “talk” NaiNai into buying a pair for me but Daddy was there to destroy my plan… =(.

Do I look good in blue??? He he…

In the end, Mommy and Daddy helped to complete NaiNai’s Christmas shopping. Then we headed towards HarbourFront as our final destination of the day. Daddy had to get a standing fan coz we had been surviving with a stand-by fan for the past few days (Daddy broke off the head of our room fan a few days ago).

Dining @ HarbourFront Centre
We went to the foodcourt for dinner first coz all of us were hungry. I had some of Mommy’s hand-made noodle and Daddy gave me an extra piece of fishcake.

After dinner, we wasted no time and headed straight for BIG to get the fan. Mommy saw some items along the way and bought them as Christmas presents. By the time we were done, it was already 9pm plus and we were all very tired after a long day out. We called it a day and headed for home. What a long day for us after spending 12 hours plus outside.

Sidenote: See… see… see…
“See… see… see…” is my favourite phase at the moment. That is what I will say after my photo is taking. I will point to the camera at the same time to demand to take a look at the photo… =).
