Singapore Fireworks Festival

After missing the National Day fireworks, Mommy felt very guilty and she decided to make up for it by bringing me to watch the fireworks at the Singapore Fireworks Festival after work this evening. We had a quick dinner at home and rushed out immediately after that. NaiNai also joined us tonight (she said she had never watched any “live” fireworks before).

Following Aunty Michelle’s recommendation, Daddy was supposed to park at Overseas Union House and then made our way to the same spot where we had watched the fireworks last year. But Daddy ended up in Esplanade carpark instead. Well, I guessed it was a blessing in disguise. Since the bridge was already packed with people and it was near impossible for us to make our way to the old spot, we decided to stay put at Esplanade. It wasn’t a bad venue as we had a unblock view and the carpark was so near.

There were so many people around us. We had to sit around for an hour or so for that 15 minutes of fireworks. Lucky Mommy brought some mango and cheese for a mini picnic.

Mango… yummy

The fireworks started punctually at 9pm. The crowd was very excited and everyone stood up. I watched for 5 minutes or so and started to lose interest and got bored. But Daddy, Mommy and NaiNai had their eyes glued to the firework display – they really had a great time.
