A Day With Daddy

My Daddy – The SAHD (For Today Only)
What a way to end Daddy's long break!!! Today is the last day of his vacation - he will close his chapter in NTU tomorrow and open a new chapter in his new work place on Thursday. Coincidentally, Nanny took a day off from Daddy and Mommy today. And Daddy volunteered to baby-sit me for a day alone.

Apart from a ½ hour morning nap @ 11am, I spent most of the morning entertaining myself flipping through my books and playing with my toys in the bedroom. Occasionally, I would crawl out of the room to check on Daddy just to make sure that he was doing his job.

My Lunch
It had been a long long time since I spent a day alone with Daddy and today was the first time Daddy prepared a meal for me. I heard from Mommy that Daddy wanted to prepare 2 dishes for me (steamed fish and steamed veggie) to go with white rice for lunch. In the end, Daddy prepared steamed egg yolk with minced fish, pork and shredded cabbage (my lazy Daddy simply damped all of the ingredients into the egg yolk). The rice turned out to be rather soft (actually Daddy miscued by adding too much water into the rice cooker), just like those served in a Japanese restaurant. The lunch was still edible and Daddy was so delighted that I almost finish all of the steamed egg together with 1 serving of white rice. =)

My Afternoon Walk
After I had taken my lunch, Daddy complained that he was getting bored @ home and decided to take me out for a walk. We ended up in HarbourFront Centre. We were supposed to shop for a birthday present for one of my friends but we could not find anything suitable. So, we just had a walk around the shopping mall. I took some kiddy rides (as usual, Daddy never put any $$$ in). Seeing that I was getting tired, Daddy left for home hurriedly. We reached @ home just in time for my afternoon feed and afternoon nap.


My Dinner
When I woke up from my nap, Daddy was in the kitchen preparing my dinner. Fortunately, NaiNai was home by then and she entertained me while Daddy prepared my dinner. I had fish, pork and cabbage pasta for dinner. Mommy arrived home @ around 7pm and just in time to feed me dinner. I had been an angel today as I finished everything that Daddy had prepared... hehe.

Daddy said that he had a great day with me and don't mind doing that again.
