New Year Eve Potluck

We were invited to Gabriel’s place for dinner today. After that Christmas party, Aunty Kelly liked NaiNai’s dessert so much that she offered the opportunity to mess up and dirty her place this evening – we were going to her place for a New Year Eve potluck dinner. We would be bringing NaiNai’s dessert and Mommy would be frying bee hoon.

Daddy and Mommy had no intention to go out before our dinner date, so I told Mommy I wanted to do some “painting” and Mommy let me do some finger painting in the living room.

Daddy asked me to pose for a photo

New Year Eve Potluck
We were the first to arrive at Aunty Kelly’s place. Gabriel showed me his toys while we waited for the rest of our friend to arrive.
Me and Gabriel

Soon, my friends arrived one after another – Lavigne and Louisa, Sharwyn and Shaynnen, Athena and Irvin. Sharwyn was extremely pretty today – she came in a nice dress with her hair tied up.
Sharwyn and I waiting for dinner to be served

There was plenty of yummy food – fried bee hoon, stewed beef, mixed veggie, curry chicken, fish fillet, spring roll and dessert (ice jelly and konnyaku). Aunty Kelly even prepared some pasta especially for us (the kids). I had some fried bee hoon and pasta together some fish fillet and mixed veggie.

After dinner, Mommy brought the slide to the living room. It proved to be very popular among the kids as everyone took turns to try it. And we really had a great time.
Attraction of the day – Gabriel’s slide

Another highlight (for the kids) of this session was play-doh time. I didn’t realize that my friends like to play with play-doh too. We had such a wonderful time and created a big mess on the floor without noticing it… =P.
It’s play-doh time…

It was ice cream time after play… yummy

It was yet another great session with my friends. We finally left Aunty Kelly’s place at around 10pm.

Spaghetti… Spaghetti… Spaghetti…
“Spaghetti” – the new word I picked up today while Uncle Ben was making “spaghetti” with the play-doh. And I kept on chanting “spaghetti… spaghetti… spaghetti… ” non-stop in the car until Mommy couldn’t stand it… hehe.

Thank you Aunty Kelly and Uncle Ben for hosting the potluck… =).

Post-Christmas Cum Pre-New Year Dinner @ GuGu's Place

GuGu invited us to her place for a post-Christmas cum pre-New Year dinner. We arrived at her place pretty early coz Mommy wanted to see if GuGu required any help.

Aidan has a tricycle at home and I took it for a “test drive”. My legs are just long enough to reach the pedals but I don’t know how to cycle on my own. In the end, Daddy gave us a pull while Aidan and I took turns to ride in the tricycle… =)
Vroom… vroom… vroom…

After having enough of riding, we moved indoors. I was digging through Aidan’s toys and found that they didn’t suit me coz all of them are cars, train set and trucks. Luckily, Aidan has a set of play-doh and I like play-doh… =).

Aidan and I kept each other entertained while the adults enjoyed their dinner in peace. The adults were having steamboat with hotplate. The table was full of food – satay chicken, pork chop, black pepper sotong, prawn, stingray, fishball and many more. We couldn’t join in the feast. Instead, we had some udon prepared by GuGu.

Keith finally arrived while we were half way through the dinner. He was so happy to see all the cars and trains here and started playing with them immediately when he came into the house.
Playing Play-doh with Aidan and Keith

After dinner, it was bubble time. Aidan took his bubble gun out and we had a great time playing with it along the corridor. Aidan and Keith took turns to generate bubbles with the bubble gun while I tried to catch all the bubbles (my hand is still too small to squeeze the trigger of the gun).
Bubbles bubbles everywhere

I had a great time playing with my two cousins coz I am more interactive now. However, I still prefer to remain as a follower. I was following Aidan and Keith around for the whole night and copying their actions.

Ho... Ho... Ho... Merry Christmas!!! =)

Today is Christmas but we didn’t have any program.

We went off to Tiong Bahru Market for breakfast in the morning. Initially I was having my favourite red bean paste bun but I dumped it aside when Mommy came back with a bowl of fishball noodle. After breakfast, we went to the wet market below to purchase some ingredients for my lunch before making our way home.
Me and my favourite bao

Finally it was time to open all my Christmas presents… =). I received many presents this year and they covered a wide range - ranging from toys, clothing, arts and crafts materials and accessories.

Thank you Aunties and Uncles for your presents… =)

This is opening present time… yeah!!!

Posing with my loots from this X’mas… =)

We stayed at home for the whole day coz Daddy and Mommy had a lot of housework to do. And the weather was so nice for nap that I had an undisturbed nap lasting for 2 hrs plus in the afternoon.
Watching Blues Clues with Barney

Later in the evening after dinner, Daddy and I made a short trip to GuGu’s place to delivery GuGu and GuZhang’s present. I stayed for a short while to play with Aidan before making our home as I was feeling a bit tired.

Christmas Eve Dinner With Renee MeiMei

My Christmas Eve @ Home
Today was the first Sunday I didn’t need to wake up early to attend the GUG lesson and I slept until 9am. It felt so good to have my breakfast waiting for me once I woke up… =). It was home-cooked omelet (mushroom and cheese) with baked beans and mixed veggie. I hadn’t had any home-cooked breakfast for a long time.
My Christmas Eve breakfast

Having my breakfast with a glass of fresh milk

With no program for the early part of the day, I spent my time lazing around at home.

Dining With Renee MeiMei
Daddy arranged a Christmas Eve dinner with Uncle Dennis’s family. It had been a long time since I last saw Renee. We went over to his place in the evening.

Renee is 15 months plus old now and can walk very steadily on her own. She had a lot of toys too - activity table, cooking set etc. I felt so at home with all those toys… hehe. Too bad we only stayed there for a short while and I didn’t have enough time to look around. But it is ok, Daddy said I can always drop by some other day… =).

We went over to the extreme western part of Singapore for our Christmas Eve dinner - Raffles Marina @ Tuas. It is a nice place with a good view. We were sitting very close to the sea and could see many yachts docking there. But the food was only so-so. I shared a potion of fish and chips with Renee and some beef from Mommy’s steak.

It's Christmas Party Time

A New Enrichment Session
Mommy brought me for a trial today. It is a home-based enrichment session. Gabriel, Cindy and Jeannieve were there as well. It is an hour session starting with some singing and move-around activities for warming up, followed by flashcard session and rounded up with arts and crafts session.

As usual, I took a while to warm up and didn’t manage to ask any of Teacher Rosaline’s questions. But I was pretty attentive during the flashcard session. At the end of the session, Mommy thought that I should try it out for a term (of 12 weeks).

It’s Christmas time!
Before heading for home, Mommy decided to drop by two places to play Santa. We went to Punggol to visit Aunty YanLing and drop off Rafe KorKor’s present. Rafe has so many toys at home and he was playing a remote controlled helicopter when we were there. So nice of him to offer it for me to play but I am still too young for that.

We didn’t stay for too long and quickly made our way to our next stop - Upper Paya Lebar, to visit Aunty QingLi and KaiJie KorKor. KaiJie was so shy that he kept hiding in the room and even buried his face in the pillow when I was in the room. And I thought I was shy… hehe.

After Aunty QingLi’s place, we went home to catch a nap before the Christmas party in the evening. I fell asleep in the car but woke up immediately when we reached home.

Christmas Party
All dressed up and ready to party… =)

Aunty Sharon and Uncle Eric had generously offered their place to host a Christmas party. Quinn, Athena, Gabriel, Edward, Sharwyn and Shaynnen were there and I met two new friends today – Louisa and Lavigne.

My friends @ the party

Uncle Eric had prepared seafood pasta and potato casserole, Aunty Kelly prepared the veggie and baked salmon while Daddy brought along NaiNai’s specialties – Konnyaku and ice jelly. There were roasted beef and turkey as well.

It really felt like Christmas when we were at Aunty Sharon’s place coz there was a big Christmas tree in the hall with lots of presents under it.
Photo with Sharwyn under the Christmas tree

Sharwyn brought out her toys to entertain us while waiting for the rest of the gang to arrive. Quinn took a long time to arrive and we started the feast without him… hehe. Uncle Eric’s pasta tasted very delicious and I liked it very much… =).

Having dessert with Gabriel

Christmas party wouldn’t be completed without a log cake (and gift exchange of coz… hehe). We gathered around the log cake for a short photo session and the adults sang “We Wish You A Merry Christmas”.
The Christmas logcake

After having the logcake, we exchanged gifts. Most of my friends were excited after receiving the presents that they opened theirs immediately. However, Daddy didn’t allow me to open coz I had to wait till Christmas Eve or Christmas Day… =(.

It was a great party – Daddy, Mommy and I had a wonderful time. And I was so tired that I fell asleep in the car seat while we were making our way home. I guess the only disappointment was that Uncle Santa didn’t make any guest appearance this year (or maybe he didn’t want to give us a fright like last year… =P).

Thank you Aunty Sharon and Uncle Eric for hosting the Party… =).

Thank you everyone for the presents… =).

Nanny's 1/2 Day Off

Nanny took half-day leave from Daddy and Mommy coz she had a medical appointment in the afternoon today. As a result, Daddy took half-day leave too and came over to fetch me around noon time. When I reached home, I realized that Mommy didn’t go to work too.

I came home to take my afternoon nap. And we went out for more Christmas shopping in the late afternoon @ Raffles City.

Shopping @ Raffles City
Daddy and Mommy had an early dinner today (coz I usually had my dinner early at Nanny’s place). Mommy wanted to have Japanese food, so we ended up in Sushi Tei.

Taking photos with Daddy and Mommy while waiting for the food to come

Mommy ordered a pot of sukiyaki soup that came with a plate of beef plus a bowl of rice for me. The soup turned out to be too sweet and I didn’t like the Japanese rice either. In the end, I had Daddy’s udon and I love it… =).
Tasting the yummy udon… =)

Full and happy… yeah!!!

After filling our stomach, we headed to Robinson. Robinson was having storewide 20% off and we finally completed all of our Christmas shopping. It had been shopping, shopping and more shopping for Christmas when we went out recently. Daddy and Mommy were so glad that it was finally completed.

The Annual Christmas Caroling

Christmas is around the corner. Just like previous years, NaiNai invited her church friends over to our house in the evening. Usually, they would come and sing some Christmas songs. As usual, Aidan and Keith’s family were invited to our place as well.
Waiting for the guests to arrive

Keith was the first to reach our home and Daddy took out my kitchen set to entertain him. He liked to “fry egg” for Daddy and me. Aidan joined us shortly. We took turn to play with the laptop as well. Keith was the more dominating one during the play while I was the most passive one (as usual).
Aidan and Keith taking turns to be the chef

The laptop was still the main attraction

It was a rather noisy event - with 3 kids running around the bedroom and 10+ adults gathering in the living room. The adults sung the Christmas carols while we (the kids) did not understand at all. We were busy walking in and out of the bedroom instead.

After the Christmas caroling, we exchanged Christmas present even though Christmas is a week away. Keith was so excited after receiving NaiNai’s present and opened it on the spot. It was a dump truck and Aidan went crazy over it as well.
Keith and Aidan getting crazy over the toy truck

The crowd finally left at around 10pm plus. By then, I was very tired and told Daddy and Mommy that I was tired and wanted to “orh orh”. Daddy set my bed and I fell asleep shortly.

Last Lesson @ GUG

I woke up earlier than the usual Sunday morning and saw Daddy preparing the egg mayo sandwich that was meant for the class party. I offered my help but he declined coz I probably would slow him down instead. When Daddy was done, we quickly packed up and left for the lesson.

My First Prata
There is this Jalan Kayu Prata Shop branch at United Square and Daddy wanted to try it. Mommy gave me half of her plain prata and I had my very first prata with sugar this morning… =).
Having my very first prata

It wasn’t really that fantastic and I didn’t really like it. Instead of sitting down to eat my breakfast, I ended up entertaining myself by walking on the bench and looking myself in the mirror.
Entertaining myself while Daddy and Mommy had breakfast

Last Lesson @ GUG
Today was officially my last lesson at GUG. After four terms with them, Daddy and Mommy felt that it was a good time for me to stop and take a short break before my childcare starts. Yes, if everything goes on smoothly, I will be in childcare next year February.

Today’s session was relatively short coz we had our usual end of term party. It seemed like most of us wouldn’t be continuing with the lesson coz I saw most of my classmate collecting their nametags too (we only collected our name tags if they were not coming back for the new semester).

All party will be completed without bubble time… =)

Taking a last photo in class with Mommy and Daddy

My Christmas Shopping
I was invited to a Christmas party this coming Saturday and I had to prepare some presents for my friends. Toy ‘R’ Us seemed to be a good place to start with and there is one at United Square. We went in to take a look after my lesson.

I was stuck at the sunglasses stand again. In the end, I managed to con Mommy into buy one for me… hehe. Mommy got the price tag removed so that I could wear it immediately. However, I preferred to put it on my head. And I would reach out to touch it just to make sure that it was still on my head every 5-10 seconds… =P.
Me and my new sunglass… =)

We managed to get 90% of the shopping done and went home after that. I woke up too early this morning and was feeling so tired and I fell asleep in the car without taking my lunch.

Pissing Mommy Off
I woke up from my sleep after just an hour due to my cough and couldn’t sleep any more.

The timing was just nice too coz Aunty Christina was here to pass me my Christmas present and Christine DiDi would be here too. Mommy wanted to bring me downstairs to meet them. Actually they were waiting at the loading/unloading bay but I had other ideas as I wanted to head towards the NTUC instead (which is in the opposite direction). I just kept on fussing and pissing Mommy off. It was the first time I saw Mommy so angry with me… =(.

Raining All Day Long
It was a rainy afternoon and Daddy decided to stay indoors for the rest of the day. Daddy was busy wrapping the presents and I lent him a helping hand. But I was careless and had a fall after slipping on some wrapping paper. Fortunately it wasn’t anything serious.

Since I enjoyed painting a lot, Mommy bought me a glass deco kit sometime back and she decided to let me try it today. There were two pieces of artwork in the kit – a fish and an owl. I chose to paint the fish first. I managed to do most part of the work (70%) while Mommy and Daddy guided me along for some part. It was kind of fun and I couldn’t wait to do the second one… =).
