Yet Another Sunday

The sky was covered with dark cloud when we left for my GUG lesson this morning. So Mommy decided to go back to United Square for breakfast. We went to Ya Kun for breakfast. I had some half boiled egg and soft bread with kaya. The half boiled egg here was much well done than those in Tiong Bahru Plaza’s foodcourt.

Session @ GUG
Before the commencement of the session, Mommy let me practice my threading skill with some wooden beads in the activity table. My threading skill is improving – I am able to thread the beads without much assistance from Mommy.

Today’s letter was “H”. I was introduced to a horse named Honey. In the arts and crafts session, it was a hand painting session. I painted a stalk of flower with my hand. I was in a mood for painting today (I seldom get my hands so messy and dirty… =P).

After the GUG session, we went down to People Park Food Centre to top up some toiletries. As I was getting sleepy and cranky, Daddy decided to pack our lunch back instead of eating there.

Selfish Girl

GuGu, GuZhang and Aidan came back for dinner. God-Grandma was here too.

Mommy said that I am a selfish girl. I didn’t allow Aidan to come into the room to watch “Your Baby Can Read” with me. When he climbed up onto the bed, I burst out in tears. I didn’t want to share my toy or favourite snacks with others as well. She felt that it’s about time that she educates me the concept of sharing.

Potluck @ Aunty Kaylene's Place

I had an appointment with Sharwyn and gang for a morning picnic at East Coast Park this morning. But Daddy decided that I should give it a miss coz my nose was still leaky. He didn’t want me to spread the virus around to my friends.

Breakfast @ Tiong Bahru Market
Since I woke up rather early, Daddy decided to give NaiNai a lift to newly upgraded Tiong Bahru Market and we could join NaiNai in her routine shopping. There were only few parking lots left (less than 10) in the carpark when we arrived.

While NaiNai did her shopping (she didn’t want us to follow her around as we would probably slow her down), we went up to the hawker centre to look for seats to settle down. NaiNai joined us shortly. I had a tau sar pao and little bit of a malay cake for breakfast.

Potluck @ Aunty Kaylene’s Place
We went over to Aunty Kaylene’s place for a potluck cum gathering with Daddy’s poly friends in the late afternoon. Daddy heard that the pool at Aunty Kaylene’s place was pretty interesting and wanted to reach there slightly earlier to let me had a dip. But since I was feeling well, we gave it a miss.

Today’s turnout was relatively large. But it was a pity that Renee wasn’t there coz Uncle Dennis was away for ICT. Anyway, Sarah JieJie, Jenas, RuiFeng and YiXin were there to keep me company (although RuiFeng and YiXin were rather late today).

Sarah JieJie had a lot of toys in her playroom. The main attractions were a kitchen set, a dollhouse and an organ. I had a great time there playing with Sarah JieJie. Daddy and Mommy had a good time too coz they left me to play with Sarah JieJie most of the time. Sarah JieJie even had a tank of guppies and they were so many guppies inside (even baby guppies).

Aunty Kaylene prepared dinner for us (the kids) as well. We had steamed codfish with veggie soup. We left Aunty Kaylene’s place at around 9.30pm. I had a long day - I was so tired that I fell asleep in the car shortly.

A Visit To Dr. Koh

I had been having this running nose since Monday. And last night, my mucus became think and yellowish. With no medical supply at home, Mommy felt that it warranted a trip down to Dr. Koh’s clinic today (for him to examine me and to top up the medical supply).

As it was still early when we arrived at Tiong Bahru Plaza, we went to foodcourt for breakfast. Mommy ordered half-boiled eggs and toast but it was lousy – the eggs were too raw and the toast was too burnt. In the end, I had a sugar loaf from Bread Talk.

I got my height and weight measured: I am officially 12.2kg heavy and 85cm tall. I have finally crossed the 12kg mark, no wonder Daddy had been complaining about getting more tired while carrying me nowadays.

After the trip to Dr. Koh, they sent back to Nanny’s place as Daddy needed to go back to work while Mommy needed to run some errands of her own.

Picnic @ Botanic Garden

New Semester @ GUG
I started my new semester @ GUG today. But before that, we went back to Zion Road coffee shop for breakfast again. Instead of having mee, I had my usual kaya toast. And Mommy was impressed by my ability to finish two pieces of toast all by myself.

My yummy toasts

We had two new classmates joining us in this new semester. Today’s letter of the day was “G” and gorilla, guitar and grape all begin with the letter “G”. I think I can be gorilla’s good friend as I love bananas too… hehe. And for arts and crafts session, we got to plant little onion in a plastic cup. If we give it enough sunlight and water everyday, we will see it grows… =)

After lesson, we headed to Raffles City and had our lunch in the foodcourt there. Daddy shared his mixed veggie rice with me. And I was rather sticky today and insisted him to feed me.

After lunch, Daddy decided to go home as we had some other program much later in the afternoon. I was so tired that I felt asleep in the car seat during the journey home.

Picnic @ Singapore Botanic Garden
I had a date with my friends this afternoon – a picnic @ Singapore Botanic Garden. It was a big turnout – Athena (and Irvin), Cindy, Faye, Gabriel (and Edward), Jeannieve, Luke, Justin, Quinn, Sharwyn and Rhyan.

Some of my friends present

The Botanic Garden was really crowded with people (and dogs). I could see a lot of older KorKors and JieJies running around in the open space. A few of my friends brought balls along with them. We had a mini kicking session. It was a great workout for me as I enjoyed running around the great open space… =)

Play time...

The adults prepared a lot of food. There were lasagne, cheesecake, curry puff, carrot cakes, sandwiches and fruits. We (the toddlers) were not left out, we had free flow of snacks. I had a lot of yummy raisins. =P
Raisin… yummy

Mommy packed out my dinner. It was a two-course dinner (grilled fish and fried egg with rice). We decided to call it a day when the sky started to get dark. It was really a fun-filled day for us. Hope that I can do this again soon… =)

Back To Tampines

YiYi came over to our house early this morning. She was here to accompany Mommy to the temple while Daddy waited with me in a nearby carpark.

Going Back To Tampines
We went back to Tampines to visit GongGong after that. Today, I spent some time exploring in TaiMa’s room as I usually didn’t go inside there.

Like my new hairdo? Hehe…

There wasn’t much thing for me to do there except to take my nap, had my lunch and then went home after that. We went home shortly after taking our lunch and spent the rest of the day resting at home.

Dining @ Amara Hotel
In the evening, we went over to the foodcourt in Amara Hotel for dinner. We seldom dine there although it was just across the road. But Mommy just felt too lazy to travel and preferred an air-conditioned area. Mommy brought home-cooked dinner for me this time round (she tried to let me consume at least one home-cooked meal one day).

Roaming around after I had my stomach filled… =P

There was a book fair at the first level. We went to take a look after our dinner. And I successfully pestered Daddy into buying a story book (Jack And The Bean Stalk) for me… hehe.

Should I buy this book instead?

Fishes, Milk Feeds And Car Seat

Fishes…
While picking up dinner at Redhill Hawker Center this evening, Mommy picked up some small fishes for me as well. During last session @ GUG, I learned about fish and she thought it was a good idea to keep some low cost and “low maintenance” fishes for me to look at. Daddy and Mommy didn’t know what type of fishes are they, the shop keeper just told Mommy that the fishes are meant to be fish food for bigger fishes. We didn’t have a proper fish tank to keep them and they ended up in NaiNai’s container for growing money plant… =P.
The fishes

…Milk Feeds…
Since birth, having a milk feed before my daytime nap or before I fall asleep at night is a must. Mommy said that such practice wasn’t very healthy as it promotes tooth decay. Daddy felt that it might be a good time for me to wean off my last milk feed habit. For the past 2 nights, he didn’t give it to me when I requested for my last feed. Instead, he used time delaying tactic – claiming that Mommy would prepare the milk for me after her shower and I would fall asleep eventually before the milk was here. While he was doing this, he wanted to wean off my on and off midnight feed as well. As far I had survived for 2 days and it looked like Daddy is very determined to achieve that… =(.

…And Car Seat
Today was also my third day sitting in the car seat (since Monday). Daddy and Mommy were rather surprised that I took it quite well (as long as Mommy still seated with me in the backseat). I didn’t really enjoy it but it seemed like I didn’t have a choice after all… =(.

Last Lesson Of The Second Semester

Daddy and Mommy were sick of having breakfast at United Square, they decided to check out a different breakfast venue this morning. We stopped by Zion Road Market to grab a bite before the lesson. But we ended up in a coffee shop next to the market instead as there isn’t anything interest to stir up Daddy’s appetite. We had wan tan mee coz most people there were eating that. The mee looks ordinary but the taste is great and the char siew is so nice as well. Mommy liked it very much and would definitely be back for more next week. I shared some mee with Daddy.

Last Lesson Of The Semester
Today’s letter was “F” and we got to know that fish, flower and frog all begin with the letter “F”. For arts and crafts session, I made a frog head out of a paper plate and some paper.

Today was the last lesson of this semester. And as usual, we ended off the semester with a party again. Daddy prepared egg mayo sandwiches. We also had cakes, pop corn, jelly and soya bean curb. I even received a goodie bag from one of my classmates. Luckily, I had a light breakfast and still have enough space to stuff the yummy food in… =)

The makan time…

A party would never be completed without bubble times. It seems like everyone likes bubbles very much. As soon as the teachers started blowing the bubbles, all of us started leaving our seat to join in the fun – me inclusive… hehe.

… The bubble time

After the lesson, Daddy took a quick detour to Great World City to pick up a cushion pad for my car seat. It looked like my fate was sealed - I had to be seated in the car seat from tomorrow onwards… =(

Morning Stroll In West Coast Park

Morning @ West Coast Park
With no program for today, Daddy suggested going to West Coast Park for breakfast and a morning stroll. Daddy wanted to explore the area around Carpark C where Uncle Donald’s restaurant and the adventure children playground are located. Daddy and Mommy were very surprised to see so many people there when we arrived. Daddy thought that it was probably due to some company having their health lifestyle event there.

We got our stomach filled at Uncle Donald’s place the very first thing after we arrived. As usual, I had some bread and milk.

Having my usual bread…

… and my usual milk

There are different sections in the playground for different kids of different age groups. We saw an area with rocking horses, seesaw and small slide which looks ideal for toddlers around my age.
Riding the rocking horse and seesaw

There is this section that looks like a pirate ship and it is designed for slightly older children. Daddy said that I could hang around there as long as he was accompanying me. I even boarded the “pirate ship” by climbing up the vertical ladder (with Daddy’s help). The slide in this section is definitely more fun than the previous section.

Wee… wee… wee

It is fun… hehe

The last section is meant for even much older KorKors and JieJies. It consists of some form of obstacle course. I tried out the balancing beam and fell off it many many times – I think I need to improve on my walking skill.
Testing my walking and balancing skill

Yeah… I finally reach the end point… =)

Round and round we go…

It is too high for me…

As the sun rose higher above our head and it got warmer, Mommy suggested leaving that place for somewhere cooler (with air-con of coz).

Shopping In Bugis Junction
After much thought, we ended up in Bugis Junction. It had been a long time since we last came here. We shopped around and Mommy bought me a blue baseball cup… =).

Feeling hungry, we settled for lunch at the basement foodcourt. I shared sliced fish noodle with Mommy and it wasn’t really very nice. Thinking that I had enough activity for that day, we headed back home to rest for the rest of the day after lunch.
