Baking Session @ Athena's Place

Aunty Mel invited us to her place for a cookie baking session cum lunch. I was very excited coz I hadn’t see Athena for a long time (RuiYing, Cindy and Gabriel were there too). But before that, Mommy decided to drop by to pay GongGong a visit. Mommy is very glad that I am less reserved now as I am more willing to open my “golden” mouth to call TaiMa and GongGong. Before that, I would simply just give them a smile.
Off I go for a lunch date… =)

Baking Session @ Aunty Mel’s
We started off the session with a lunch as Aunty Mel had prepared some food for us. I had some fried bee hoon for lunch plus some jellies for dessert.

We commenced the baking session after filling up my stomach. Daddy helped me to flatten the dough while I cut out the cookies with the cutter. Aunty Mel even prepared some chocolate chips and sugar sprinkles for us to decorate the cookies. I sprinkled some chocolate chips and sugar sprinkles on it (with RuiYing’s help). During the session, I discovered that if I rolled a chocolate chip between my fingers for a short while, the chip would “disappear”. I was having fun with that but Daddy prevented me from doing so coz I was getting chocolate all over my hands.
The baking session

It was a short session. Most of us lost interest shortly and Daddy had to help to finish the rest of the dough. While waiting for the cookies to be baked, we went to the balcony to play with bubbles. Athena has this bubbles making toy that can really make BIG bubbles – even bigger than those Daddy made for me during the shower. All of us (the kids) loved it.

We love bubbles

Books and More Books
After the baking session, we went to the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry with Gabriel’s family. There was a Chinese book fair and Mommy wanted to get some Chinese reading materials for me.

On that way there, I was feeling very tired and fussed for a long part of the journey before I finally fell asleep. Daddy decided to stay with me in the car while Mommy went over to the book fair with Aunty Kelly. I managed to wake up after half an hour and Daddy brought me to meet up with Mommy. In the end, Mommy brought 10+ of new Chinese story books for me. Mommy has been complaining that I need to polish my mandarin coz I sound like a foreigner when I speak mandarin… =P.

More Chinese books for me… =)

Dining @ Keith's Place

It was Saturday again. Daddy, Mommy and I went over to Amara Hotel for breakfast again. And it was toast with butter and strawberry jam for me (I could easily finish two pieces of toast on my own… hehe).

Lesson @ Aunty Ros’s
We went over to fetch Aidan and GuGu before heading for Aunty Ros’s place. During lesson, I did some painting on the paperclay that I had cut out during the previous lesson (they had hardened after being exposed to the air for a week). After the lesson, we didn't hang around for too long as Keith was expecting us.

Dinner @ Keith’s Place
We went over to Keith’s place for dinner and it was a steamboat dinner again (this was supposed to be Keith’s post-birthday get-together).

We arrived way before dinner time so that we (Aidan, Keith and I) could spend some playtime together. However, when we arrived, Keith was still taking his afternoon nap. But it didn’t really matter as we still helped ourselves to Keith’s toys… hehe. My favourite is still the swing and I spent most of my time sitting on it. ShenShen even offered to loan it to us. I wanted it of coz but Daddy and Mommy said “no” straight coz there wasn’t any space in the house for that.

After a while, both of us started to get bored and went to wake Keith up from his nap. Our plan was successful… =). Aidan was very happy when Keith woke up coz Keith went to dig out more toys for us to play (mainly toy cars). Since there weren’t any other toys around, I joined in Aidan and Keith too.

Cars… cars and more cars

We headed home at around 8pm. By then, I was very tired as I didn’t take any nap at all. And I felt asleep for the night while I was in the car.

Toilet Training
Mommy felt that my toilet training had finally showed some success. Nowadays, she will let me go out without wearing any diaper, just like today. Even at home, I will not be wearing any diaper except during my nap time and my bedtime. For today, I managed to stay dry for the whole day… =).

School Updates:
For the very first time, I didn’t cry for 3 consecutive days (Monday – Wednesday) when Daddy and Mommy dropped me off at the school. I have been a good girl in school coz I am always helping teachers to pack up the toys after playing with them. This week, Teacher Jamie gave Daddy and Mommy a progress report on me. I am coping well with the life in school pretty well… =).

A Morning on the Beach

A Morning @ the Beach
When I woke up in the morning, Mommy was busy preparing snacks in the kitchen. We would be going to Sentosa to spend sometime on the beach and Aidan would be joining us as well. I was so excited that I was holding on to the sand castle kit since I stepped out of the house.

Instead of the usual Siloso Beach, we headed for the Palawan Beach for a change of venue. The new location isn’t so bad after all – with the washing facilities nearby and good overhead shade. However, the sand is much coarser than those in Siloso Beach.

We started off with a breakfast by the beach. Mommy had prepared some French toasts and pancakes for us. She even brought along a small container of maple sauce for the pancake. After the breakfast, I joined Aidan on the beach.
Breakfast on the beach

At first I didn’t want to set my foot as I hadn’t set my bare foot on the sand for a very long time and I didn’t like the feeling. But I got used to it really fast. We spent around 2 hours there, doing nothing much other than filling up buckets after buckets of sand. Mommy decided to call it a day when the shade was getting lesser and the place was getting warmer.

Aidan and I walking on the sand

Having fun with the sand on the beach

We went to Great World City for lunch @ Crystal Jade and I shared a bowl of Wan Tan Mee with Aidan. The soup was so delicious that I drank a lot… hehe. Although I didn’t do much at the beach, I felt so tired that I felt asleep shortly in the car while making our way home from lunch and we spent the rest of the afternoon at home.

Update: Toilet Training
Today was the first time I went out without wearing a diaper. Mommy made sure that I went to the toilet first before we left for the beach. Over at the beach, Daddy brought me to the toilet on several occasions but I didn’t want to pee. It was only when Mommy said that we were leaving soon that I managed to do it. Over at Great World City, I managed to go to the toilet once too. For the first time, I managed to remain diaperless for a day (except during my nap time)… =).

Steamboat Dinner @ Aunty Kelly's Place

I went over to Amara Hotel for breakfast with Mommy this morning while Daddy was still sleeping at home. It was a rare occasion that I got to spend some quality time with Mommy alone… =). And I put up my best behaviour. Knowing that Mommy couldn’t carry me, I walked on my own instead of requesting her to carry me (even when I crossed the road). For breakfast, I had toast with strawberry jam and butter. Mommy complained that I ate too much (coz I ate her share… =P). Daddy only came over to join us after we were done with our breakfast.

Lesson @ Aunty Ros’s
During today’s class, I played with a play-doh like material. It is much harder than the usual paly-doh and my hands felt very powdery after touching it. Aunty Ros told us that that is paper clay. It will harden when it is exposed to air for a period of time.

Playing with paper clay

Daddy helped me to flatten the dough with a rolling pin before I cut it into various shapes (star, triangle, circle and even a ginger breadman). Then we left them to dry and will be back next week to paint them… =).

Checking out the frog and hamster with Aidan

After lesson, we went back to visit GongGong. I was so tired that I fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep throughout the period I was at GongGong’s place.

Steamboat Dinner @ Aunty Kelly’s
We went back to Aunty Kelly’s place in the late afternoon coz we would be having dinner there – it was Mommy’s favourite steamboat dinner. I had some rice with fish, fishball and sausage.

After dinner, I joined the rest of my friends running around the house until I was very sweaty. Fortunately, Uncle Ben brought out something that made us sit still – ice cream… =). He gave each of us a cup of ice cream which all of us enjoyed quietly on the sofa. It was really yummy.
We love ice cream… yummy =)

A Lunching & Shopping Trip to Ikea

I woke up rather early this morning (at around 8am) despite going to bed late last night (at around 11.30pm). Daddy finds that it is very strange as I tend to wake up early whenever I go to bed late and I tend to wake up late whenever I go to bed early… =P.

Daddy and Mommy didn’t plan any program for me. So, they decided to head for Ikea (Alexandra). They wanted to go there for lunch and to shop for some storage containers. I was nagging for noodle when we were @ the café. Fortunately, they were serving spaghetti for the kid menu. Daddy ordered a set for me. I self-fed on my own and managed to complete the whole potion on myself.

Enjoying a pack of milk after lunch

After lunch, we walked around the store. I insisted in helping Daddy with the shopping by carrying the shopping bag. But instead of helping him with the shopping, he was busy adjusting the strips of the shopping bag for me coz the strips kept on sliding down my shoulder… =P. Throughout the trip, I was busy walking around and running about. We spent around 2 hours there before making our way home.

A New Term

When I woke up this morning, I couldn’t find Daddy or Mommy around the house. I was alone with NaiNai. NaiNai told me that Daddy had to send Mommy to office coz she had to attend to something urgent and he would be back very soon. Indeed, Daddy came back shortly and with my favourite breakfast – roti prata… hehe.

A New Semester
Today is the start of the new semester and I had a new classmate this semester – Aidan.

Porcupine - I made during the lesson

After lesson, we went over to Aunty Kelly’s place for a small gathering. Aidan was there for the first time and he was already enjoying himself. And while the rest of my friends were having fun running around, I kept loitering around the dining table coz Aunty Kelly had prepared some snacks for us. I preferred eating to playing (which you could probably tell from looking @ my size… hehe).

After filling up my tummy, I joined my friend. All of us were busy running around and making a lot of noise. Uncle Ben finally brought out something that attracted all our attention – play-doh. All of us managed to gather and sat down to play with that.

Sharwyn and I inside the “house”

It’s play-doh time

We finally called it a day and made our way home at around 5pm. I was so tired that I fell asleep in the car again.

Mommy and Daddy was hoping that I would repeat what I did two weeks ago – slept throughout and woke up in the morning. But I woke up again at around 8.30pm and found that both Daddy and Mommy were missing again. They thought that I would sleep through and they went out for dinner without me… =(. NaiNai attempted to put me back to bed by feeding me a bottle of milk but I stayed wide asleep after drinking that bottle of milk. I stayed awake until 11.30pm. By there, NaiNai had got to bed and Mommy wanted to sleep too. Daddy forced me to sleep by switching off all the lighting in the house. I had no choice but to sleep too… =(.

School Updates:
It was back to school again for me after 3 days of break. And I started crying again when Daddy and Mommy dropped me off at the school. On the good note, I am becoming more independent since I go to school. Now, I insist on doing most things on my own. I will self-feed during mealtimes, wear my pant with minimum assistance, apply body gel on myself during shower etc.

This week, I learnt the letter ‘D’ in school.

Painting Session @ Aunty Kelly's Place

Today is supposed to be the first day of the new semester but it has been postponed by a week. Since Aunty Kelly had arranged some activities for us, we went over to her place after a short visit to GongGong’s place and Keith’s place.
Riding on my old car @ GongGong’s place

Painting Session @ Aunty Kelly’s Place
It was a painting session - Uncle Ben “built” a house from the cardboard for us to paint. It was a big house but Daddy just brought along a miserable small brush for me.

Gabriel, Sharwyn and I had a great time painting the walls. Mommy commented that I had a serious look on my face while I was doing it. As usual, we ended up making a mess out of it. I had paint all over my shirt – also thank to Gabriel going around painting on me (and Sharwyn too). Luckily Daddy had an extra set of clothing with him.

Me @ work

The painting session didn’t lasted too long. After around 20 minutes, all of us started to lose interest slowly. Uncle Ben, Uncle Eric and Daddy came over to give us a hand. I would apply some paint onto the wall with my brush while Daddy helped to spread the paint with a sponge. In the end, the house wasn’t even 1/3 done.
