Mommy told me that there wouldn’t be any lesson for me today, so she decided to do some shopping for Aidan and Keith coming birthday. After that, we could go back to Tampines to visit GongGong and Aunty YanLing.
We chose to go to Raffles City coz Robinson was having promotion at their Children’s section. It had been a long time since we went out for a shopping trip like this.
Lunching @ SuShi Tei
Mommy thought that it would be a good idea to have our lunch first and we ended up in Sushi Tei coz the foodcourt’s air ventilation wasn’t very good. We were seated beside the conveyor belt. It was my second time here but my first time seeing the conveyor belt. It was very interesting to see the different colour plates going pass in front of me - Daddy should have brought me here long time ago… =).

Mommy ordered a bowl of udon for me. They watched while I ate since they weren’t keen on the food there. I almost managed to finish the whole bowl of udon by myself.
I love udon… =)
Daddy noticed something strange about me after I ate my lunch – he noticed that I had been standing on the seat since then. As he had suspected, I pooed again in my diaper and it was a wet one too (it was the second time today). Daddy brought me to change my diaper while Mommy settled the bill. Mommy confirmed that I was having diarrhea. But the funny part was that I seemed very healthy and actively – I didn’t look sick at all. To play safe, Mommy decided against going back to Tampines, just planned to shop around and go back to rest after that.
Shopping @ Robinson
After the diaper change, we headed straight to the Children’s section. Mommy went off to shop around while Daddy and I looked for presents for my two cousins in the toy section (actually I was more interested in looking for toys for myself… hehe). I was so engrossed in the toys that I didn’t even bother about it when Daddy moved out of sight; I just stood at the same spot to play with the toys. I spent around an hour there before Mommy came over after completing her shopping and used ice cream as bait to draw me away from the toys.

A Painful Lesson
While we were in this accessories shop, I turned suddenly to Mommy and shouted “hot hot” with my right index finger sticking out. Mommy tried to see what was wrong with my finger but she couldn’t spot anything. Then Daddy came over and realized that I might scald my finger by touching the naked light bulb on the display. He quickly took me to a tap and placed my finger under the running water for a while, but it was too late – a little bubble had already formed on my finger.
Daddy then explained to me that I shouldn’t touch anything that is bright and glows coz it is usually very hot. I learnt my lesson, I didn’t dare to step into that shop when Daddy went back there to complete his purchase. After that incident, I wanted Daddy to carry me and eventually fell asleep on Daddy’s shoulder. Mommy decided to call it a day.
My little poor index finger… =(
When I woke up from my nap, I showed NaiNai the bubble on my finger and “told” her what happened just now. It felt so awkward with this bubble on my finger that I couldn’t do any thing right with my right index finger sticking out.
School Updates: End of First Official Month
Up to date, I have officially spent a full month in school. I am still crying when Daddy and Mommy dropped me off in school every morning. The best thing that happened this week was that Teacher Yani (my form teacher) left Daddy/Mommy a note in my communications book on Tuesday and it reads:
Hi,
Today Esther didn’t cry as much as before. She is beginning to mingle around with the other children. And also being helpful by helping keeping the mattress and arranging chairs. But still clings to me as in making sure that I have to be around.
Yani
It was a heartwarming message for Daddy and Mommy (especially Mommy), knowing that I am beginning to adapt to school.
