God TaiMa's Birthday Celebration

Breakfast @ Amoy Street
We had breakfast @ a new venue – Amoy Street Hawker Centre this morning. Mommy attempted to feed me some yam cake but I didn’t want it coz I hate food with soft and sticky texture. In the end, I had Daddy’s fried bee hoon instead.

After breakfast, Mommy brought me to the playground on the void deck – with the attempt to wear me out so that I could take an early nap coz we would be going to Daddy’s God-Grandmum’s birthday later.
Hello… need a lift???

It was been a long time since I last visited this playground (even though we just stayed upstairs). I can play with the slides without any assistance now - I know how to lower myself into a sitting position and push myself off the slide without Daddy’s help. I can even maintain myself in a sitting position along the whole journey down.
On the slide

I was happily playing alone at the playground until this KorKor came along and I started to feel uneasy and wanted to leave soon. Mommy took me to a section of the void deck where there are a lot of potted plants and there is even a small hydroponics garden.

So many plants

Collecting leaves for my scrapbook

Mommy’s plan worked perfectly today, I was so tired that I fell asleep soon after my morning milk.

Visiting GongGong @ Tampines
I was dragged out of bed at around 12.30pm coz it was about time to pick up GuGu and Aidan to go over to God TaiMa’s (Daddy’s God-Grandma) birthday celebration @ Tampines. Since GongGong’s place is nearby, Mommy wanted to drop by GongGong’s place first while Daddy sent NaiNai, GuGu and Aidan to God-TaiMa’s place.

I had my home-cooked fried bee hoon over at GongGong’s place. With the arrival of the new tricycle at home yesterday, Daddy parked my old push stroller at Tampines so that I have more toys to play with next time I am here.
Feeling just like having a new toy… hehe

God TaiMa’s Birthday Celebration
We went to God-TaiMa’s place at around 3pm. By that time, Aidan and Keith were already there and there were a few others KorKors as well – but I wasn’t keen in playing with them. So I decided to stick to Mommy’s side and start to eat… hehe. There was plenty of yummy food around. I ate some fishballs and Konnyaku jellies.

Tired of eating, I fell asleep at around 5pm but woke up briefly when we left the place.

Dinner @ GuGu’s Place
We went to GuGu’s place since it was still early. Aidan showed me his toys and his books. And I had my dinner there (sliced fish soup with rice). We stayed until 8.30pm before calling it a day.

What a busy day for me…

Side Notes: Potty Training
I scored major points in potty training today.

I woke up with a dry diaper this morning and Mommy brought me to the toilet to pee. I didn’t like to sit on the trainer seat or the potty but I eventually did it when I was in the shower.

I did the second time (in the shower too) when we came back from the playground.

The third time was at GongGong’s place.

And the forth time, I ended up doing my big business instead… =P.

The Great Isetan Sales

The Isetan Private Sales was here again today. Being a loyal customer, Mommy took a day off and went over early in the morning to catch some great bargain. As usual, she never failed her task. She bought a lot of stuffs back and I guessed the biggest winner was I after all… hehe.

I got two big items – a Fisher Price tricycle and an Electronics Keyboard. Mommy only realized that the tricycle was way too big for me after Daddy assembled it (even though it was meant for 2-5 years old). I think my legs need to grow another 5 cm in order to ride it.

My new toys…

Besides going to the private sales, Mommy also collected a series of new books for me.

New collections in my library

By the way, Daddy discovered a new location with a good selection of children books – Big Bookshop @ Clementi Central. He bought some nice books for me. He said it is time for me to “read” books that are wordier.

More books…

My Chickenpox Vaccination

Daddy and Mommy had a big scare this morning when they saw that I had a BIG patch of rashes on my palms. Mommy was so scared coz she thought it might be HFMD. She did a quick search on Google and was relieved to see that my rashes didn't look like those in the pictures. As a precaution, Mommy asked Nanny to keep me under close observation and inform her if the rashes got worst. And Dr. Koh would be able to take a look at the rashes when Daddy and Mommy brought me for chickenpox vaccination later on in the evening.

After months of delay, I finally got my chickenpox vaccination today. Last few months, I always ended up sick whenever Daddy and Mommy wanted to bring me for my vaccination. Instead of getting my vaccination during those visits, I ended up seeing Dr. Koh for consultation.

Dr. Koh examined my rashes and reassured Mommy that the rashes were just normal rashes due to sensitive skin. The jab was done quickly – even before I knew it. That was the reason why Mommy still preferred to bring me to Dr. Koh for vaccination (even though he charges consultation fee for vaccination as well).

We had a quick dinner at the food court and headed straight for home after that.

A New Breakfast Hangout

Daddy and Mommy found another new breakfast hangout nearby our place - Chinatown temporary market near Outram MRT Station. The market was really crowded even on a cloudy Sunday morning. I had vegetarian bee hoon for breakfast.

Session @ GUG
Today’s letter was “L” and the animal of the day was lizard. Each of us was given a piece of lime to taste and it was so sour – yikes. For project, it was pattern printing with lime. I hate to get my hand dirty and stopped after my hands were dirty.

We tried out a new place for lunch as well - Jalan Bukit Merah hawker center. Although most of the store were closed (probably the hawker centre services mostly office crowd during the weekday), there were still a number of variety to choose from. As usual, I had rice with sliced fish and pork.

We went to do some shopping after lunch at the nearby NTUC (Daddy and Mommy’s plan to expense my energy) and eventually went home to take my nap. I took a long nap of 2 hours plus and was dragged out of the bed by Daddy coz we had an appointment with GuGu’s family.

Lantern Watching @ Chinatown

Today was one of those rare Saturday that I woke up late (slept until 9.30am). Actually I did wake up at 6.30am for milk and stayed awake for half an hour or so before rifting back to dreamlands again.

Choosing My Own Clothes
Nowadays, I need more time to get ready before going out. I want to choose my own clothes. I will refuse to put on the clothes prepared by Daddy/Mommy if I don’t like them. And I will even try to take them off me. It is fast becoming a battle between us each time before we can leave the house.

It was back to Tampines again to visit GongGong. I discovered this big orange cat in YiYi’s room and Daddy told me that his name is Garfield. I think I am starting to like Garfield… =)

My new friend – Garfield

It was a massive jam while we were on our way back to home. The car was moving so slowly and I fell asleep in the car. When I woke up, I was already back at home.

Lantern Watching @ Chinatown

After dinner, Daddy and Mommy brought me to Chinatown to catch a glimpse of the lighting up ceremony of the Mid-Autumn Festival. There were a lot of people there. The main road was sealed and it was littered with people. Most people were crowding along New Bridge Road, trying to watch the performance.
People everywhere

Along the minor streets, there were many stores selling many Mid-Autumn Festival related products – lanterns, mooncakes etc. I wasn’t in a good mood and refused to put my feet onto the ground. After 30 minutes of walking around, Daddy and Mommy got tired and decided to call it a day.

It's Sunday Again

It was drizzling when we went for my GUG session this morning and we went over to United Square for a dim sum breakfast. Despite getting the new shoes, I have yet to put it on - Mommy still failed in her attempt to put that new pair of shoes on my feet.

Catching a ride on Clifford before lesson

Today’s letter was “K”. I was introduced to a kangaroo that likes kick-boxing. Teacher Yani also showed us a kite and some of my classmates pretended to be king – I couldn’t pretend to be a king as I am a girl. For project, I built a nest out of dough (base of the nest), instant noodle (twigs) and marshmallows (eggs).
The nest

After lesson, we went back to Alexandra Village for lunch again. This time, I had some kway from Mommy’s Kway Chap and some fish from Daddy’s seafood soup. After filling my stomach, I managed to complete my very first full kiddy ride (In the past, I would start my screaming and crying once the kiddy started to move). The kiddy ride there is much cheaper (each ride 50 cents) than the usual one at shopping center (usually it will cost a dollar per ride).
The cheap kiddy ride in Alexandra Village

Mommy knew that I like birds a lot. She brought me to a nearby shop selling birds. It was so noisy and there were a lot of birds there. I overheard that I might be going to the Jurong Bird Park soon… hehe.
So many birds…

Visiting Keith

Daddy went off early this morning to work leaving me at home with Mommy and NaiNai. But he did come home shortly.

Visiting GongGong @ Tampines
It was time to go back to Tampines to visit GongGong again. I started my fussing as soon as we stepped out of the house (I was demanding for my nap). A moving car has great effect on me as I fell asleep minutes after I stepped into the car. I stayed asleep although the journey but woke up immediately when Daddy parked the car. Daddy tried to salvage the situation by giving me a bottle of milk – hoping that I would fall back to sleep while I was drinking it. But his wishful thinking failed as I was still widely awake after that bottle of milk.
YiYi bought me some clothes… =)

I didn’t have much thing to do over there other than just being a busybody and walked around the whole place. We stayed around until 3.30pm before making our way SuShuang ShenShen’s place.

Snacking @ Tampines

Visiting SuShuang ShenShen
We went over to visit Keith coz Mommy said that he had some interesting educational toy to show me. Besides Aidan KorKor, Jean would be coming over as well.

Keith was still sleeping when we arrived. I took my time to explore the place and dug through Keith’s toys. Keith has a lot of toys (especially toy cars). He even has a swing in the living room – I had a swinging good time… =P.

Can you give me a push?

Can you give me a push again?

More toys…

Time to draw

Aidan was here pretty late and Jean didn’t turn up coz she was having her beauty sleep. We decided to wake Keith up from his sleep to play with us. We had a lot of fun.

Dinner was settled @ Punggol Plaza. The three of us shared a plate of fried rice (but most of it was consumed by me… hehe). I self-fed most of the dinner but leaving a rather big messy on the floor… =P. After dinner, I saw Daddy and Mommy sharing a bowl of ice kacang. I made a lot of noisy indicating that I wanted some but Daddy refused to give me any.

Dinner time…

The journey back home was a peaceful one for Daddy and Mommy as I fell asleep in the car.

A New Pair Of Shoes

We went back to Zion Road coffeeshop for breakfast this morning. Instead of having the bread that Daddy ordered, I had my morning milk. It is always difficult for me to drink milk from the bottle whenever I am outside coz I need to be in a lying position. And it gets harder since I am such a big gal now – I can’t do that on Daddy’s lap any longer. Most of the time, I need extra chairs/seats/space to do that.

Session @ GUG
I sensed that something wasn’t right in GUG session as around half of my classmate didn’t turn out for lesson today (we were down to only 7 toddlers and the classroom was uncharacteristically quiet). All of them fell sick together???

Letter of the day was “J” and the animal of the day was jellyfish. Teacher Yani also taught us how to jump, I tried several times but I simply couldn’t get my feet over the jump at all. For project today, I was shocked when I was asked if I had eaten any spider before (coz we were making spider for project today – out of jam, biscuits and polka sticks). My favourite type of project coz we got to eat them afterwards… hehe.

My project - seven legged spider (with a leg inside my stomach)

Teacher Yani commented that I spoke a lot today. Most of the time, I would just keep quiet and refuse to reply or response any of her questions. I was in a good mood… =P

A New Pair Of Shoes
Finally, I overcame my “I-don’t-want-to-try-any-new-shoes-phase” today. I managed to try out a pair of shoes without much fuss. Actually, Daddy and Mommy had been eyeing that pair of shoes for sometime but the huge price tag put them off. Now, it was selling at a 40% discount (coz it was the last pair and a display pair) – it was a steal and Daddy bought it without much consideration. We went home happy… =).
