Happy Birthday Aidan

Happy Birthday to You… Happy Birthday to You… Happy Birthday to Aidan… Happy Birthday to You!!! =)

Aidan Korkor turns 2 today. Initially, GuGu wanted to celebrate his birthday @ Globetrotters so that we (the toddlers) could spend time in the play area while they (the adults) could eat in peace. The recent HFMD issue forced GuGu to shelve the idea (better safe than sorry). In the end, the venue was changed to Swensen’s @ Bugis.

Daddy came over to fetch me after the work and we were the 2nd last to arrive (Aunty SuShuang, Uncle Justin and Keith KorKor were the last to arrive). Keith missed out all the fun coz he was sleeping throughout the celebration. GuGu even prepared a birthday pack with a bubble gun (a noisy bubble gun to be exact) for Keith and me.

Mommy ordered salmon ‘N’ mushroom baked rice so that she could share with me. I didn’t have any salmon though coz the salmon didn’t pass the “checkpoint” (Mommy found the salmon too salty for me). But the rice still tasted yummy… =)

For dessert, Aidan had a “Firehouse Happy Birthday” and I didn’t know why I had another too =). Anyway, Aidan and I shared one of the “Firehouse Happy Birthday” (Mommy and GuGu helped us to finish too). It was self-service time for me - Aidan did try to feed me too but I prefer to help myself… hehe.

How can a birthday celebration go without a birthday cake and a birthday song, right? In fact, we were the 3rd group there to sing the “Birthday Song”… hehe. By the time the cake was served, all of us were very full. Daddy gave me some and I only managed to have a little coz Mommy complained that I had too much ice-cream already. Finally, Keith woke up after the cake cutting when everything was over.

Playing With Strangers
While we were on the bus home, Daddy saw a rare sight - I was actually playing with the strangers sitting behind us. Daddy was so amazed by that coz it was the first time I played with stranger. Daddy said that I was probably “high” on ice-cream… hehe.

Bubbles, Bubbles Everywhere

It was very cloudy this morning. Mommy intended to visit TaiMa (her maternal grandmum) today. But the cloudy sky made Mommy shelved the idea.

I did my colouring on the table for the very first time. Look at my masterpiece, nice? =)

Visiting GuGu
After lunch, Daddy and Mommy went over to visit GuGu and to return the walker to Aidan KorKor. Aidan was still soundly asleep in the sarong when we arrived but he woke up shortly after that.

Aidan had this bubble gun that could generate a lot of bubbles and he showed me how to use it. We went to play along the corridor coz GuGu forbade him playing it in the house. Aidan was "shooting" lots and lots of bubbles while I was busy catching the bubbles. We had a lot of fun (until Aidan didn’t want me to go home… hehe). When Daddy and Mommy wanted to leave, Aidan stopped me from leaving by using his arm to block my way. The adults (Daddy, Mommy and GuGu were amazed by Aidan’s action).

I overheard that Mommy felt that the bubble gun is a nice toy and she will be getting one for me when I am older… yippee. =)

On Friday, we came across this store selling kids clothing @ China Square. We went back there again to see see look look. In the end, Daddy bought me a dress and Mommy bought me a swimwear.

An Afternoon @ Raffles City

I set another personal record this morning – I woke up @ 10am… hehe. Mommy was very happy coz she completed A LOT of housework and she hoped that I could do that EVERY Saturday. =)

Back To Tampines
We went back to visit GongGong again. As usual, GongGong tried to hi-jack me from Mommy but he didn't get his way. However, I improved my relationship with YiYi. At least I would look for her and “ask” her to play with me now.

During lunch, Mommy had a hard time feeding me. I wasn’t keen to eat and ran around a lot coz there wasn’t any highchair around. In the end, YiYi had to take out her treasures (her key chain collection) to distract me from running around.

An Afternoon @ Raffles City
After leaving GongGong’s place, Daddy suggested going to Raffles City so that he could buy presents for Uncle Rongyao and Aunty Bell and Mommy could order cake for God-Grandmum.

While I was in the MRT, I made a big fuss on the MRT and caused everyone to look in our direction. Daddy and Mommy cracked their brain to distract me. Finally, Daddy realized that I was fussing coz I was very tired but couldn’t fall asleep. He gave me the remaining of my unfinished milk and I knocked out in no time.

I was still soundly asleep when Daddy and Mommy alighted the MRT. Daddy and Mommy had to look for a place to sit down while I took my nap again. We ended up in Café Cartel and I continue my nap on the cushion seat. I think I can compile a top 10 most comfortable cushion seats in Singapore very soon… =P.

I spent 1 ½ hour sleeping on the cushion seat. By the time I woke up, Daddy and Mommy had already finished most of their food. Fortunately, Mommy left me some of the freshly baked bread – Mommy is still the BEST… =). Daddy and Mommy noticed that they have a nice breakfast menu. We will definitely be coming back here to try out their breakfast set soon… hehe.

Finally, Daddy settled the presents (a pairs of perfume) for Uncle RongYao and Aunty Bell. Mommy also ordered a cookie and cream cake (from Haagen-Dazs) for God-Grandmum. We didn’t spend too much time in Robinson coz the whole store was covered with a strong smell of thinner.

Daddy and Mommy bought me two set of new clothing from Baby Fox (they were having 25% off all items).

Dinner @ MOS Burger
I had an early dinner since I didn’t eat much for lunch. Daddy and Mommy weren’t hungry though. Daddy thought that MOS Burger was a good place coz they have highchairs and they could just grab a drink and feed me there. But I had other idea… hehe. I wasn’t keen on sitting in the highchair and fussed a lot. In the end, Daddy let me sat between them to have my dinner.

We spent some time watching the fountain display (@ Basement One). I was pretty amazed by the fountain display and was able to sit there quietly and watched. Mommy commented that she should have fed me my dinner here instead… too bad =).

Playing Hide-and-Seek
NaiNai, Mommy and Daddy played hide-and-seek with Pooh Bear and me in the evening. I would pass Pooh Bear to Daddy and asked Daddy to help Pooh Bear hide. Daddy would tell me to turn around and cover my eyes with my little hands. I did that but Daddy complained that I played cheat coz I would cover my eyes with my hands separated widely apart and peep through in-between my fingers (I didn’t play cheat what – Daddy asked me to cover my eyes but didn’t ask me to close my eyes or could peep =P). Anyway, I would go round the place hunting for Pooh Bear. My “informers” (NaiNai and Mommy) would give me hints to Pooh Bear’s hiding location. The game is fun and educational coz I learnt the concepts of “behind”, “under” and “inside”.
