Sales... Sales and Sales

Christmas is the festive season for sharing and giving - that is what Mommy teaches me today.

All thanks to Aunty Sharon (who inspired Mommy to rush down to Robinson sales today after work to buy some X'mas presents), Mommy brought me to shopping in my pyjamas. OMG - shopping in my pyjamas, what happened if I ran into my friend? =( (Luckily I didn't meet anyone)

Mommy came to fetch me while Daddy went back home to pack my outing bag and we met up @ Outram MRT Station.

First stop - went to makan of coz. We ate @ the food court @ Level 2. It was so crowded even on a weekday (I guessed most people were attracted by the storewide sales @ Robinson). We had a hard time looking for a seat and Daddy finally found an empty table in one of the cozy corner. I had raisin bread and white rice (courtesy of Daddy) as snacks.

Second stop - went to Robinson of coz. There were a lot of people there as well. Drinks, wine and food were been served there - made me wondered if Daddy was there for the food or just to buy present. =P

Mommy and Daddy completed @ least ½ of their Xmas shopping and they went home happy. Me? Ok lah - still a decent evening for me. I had a nice walk around the mall, made friends with a red friend (Elmo), a blue friend (Cookie Monster) and a yellow friend (Big Bird) and spending some time playing with this race car in Marks & Spencer (until Daddy had to pushed me away from the car by "force").

Self-feeding with Papaya

Mommy came alone to fetch me today coz she was on ½ day leave. After we reached home, she cleaned me up and waited for Daddy to come home. Daddy came home slightly later than normal – claiming that there was a traffic jam along Keppel Road.

Daddy prepared papaya as dessert for me tonight. Mommy placed them inside a suction bowl and gave me a victory smile and claimed that I should not be able to lift the bowl off my tabletop. Well - surprise surprise!!! I got the bowl off my tabletop in less than 15 min. =P

Anyway, Mommy allowed me to self-feed today with my bare hands. The papaya was so slippery that I ended up playing instead of eating it... hehe.

An Official Acknowledgement from Daddy =)

Today I received the official acknowledgement from Daddy that I really know how to call "Pa Pa". =)

Setting: Inside Mommy's bedroom.
Mommy was playing with me on the bed while Daddy was doing some chores in the kitchen.

Seeing that Daddy walked into the bedroom, Mommy asked me something.
Mommy: "Ting Ting, where is Pa Pa?"

I looked up and saw Daddy coming in, raised my hand and pointed to Daddy.
Esther: "Pa Pa".

Before this incident, Daddy never acknowledged that I knew how to call "Pa Pa" even though I knew how to say the "Pa" word weeks ago. But usually I would go something like "Pa Pa Pa Pa Pa" instead of just "Pa Pa". Or I would point everywhere and anywhere when Mommy asked me: "Where is Daddy?"

Daddy will be having sweet dreams tonight... hehe.

P.S: I called "Ma Ma" before "Pa Pa".

Books and More Books

I took some long naps today - 2 hours in the morning and 1 hour plus in the evening. I thought it would be one of those lazy Sunday where the whole family would just lazed around @ home (coz Mommy was not feeling really well too).

After lunch, Mommy commented that she was feeling much better liao (after taking her cold medicine) and said that she would like to go out to breathe some fresh air. Daddy quickly packed my bag and off we went.

Guess what? We were back to Bras Basah Complex again (Remember? I was here last night). Daddy and Mommy bought more books (6 more books to be exact) for me and some Christmas presents too - I thought that was pretty early for Christmas... hehe.

After paying for the books, we walked over to Raffles City to shop for a present for Aunty Ruby (Mommy's ex-colleague who is staying in the States now). We got tired of walking around, Mommy bought a cone of ice-cream from Haagen-Dazs. We just sat on the floor @ Level 2 to have our ice-cream (I had a few mouthfuls too... yummy). Daddy decided to go home shortly after Mommy complained that she was tired (most likely the effect of the cold medicine was kicking in).

Swim Date with Cindy & Gabriel

A week already... it has been a week since I started sleeping in NaiNai's room. Looks like this will be a permanent arrangement. Daddy commented that it is a good time to start getting used to sleeping in NaiNai's room - eventually I will be sleeping in NaiNai's room when I am older. Daddy and Mommy are satisfied with my "performance" so far. I do wake up in the midst of the night (crying for milk) but a few pats will send me back into my dreamland (and I skipped my milk feed 3 out of 7 nights).

Swim Date with Cindy and Gabriel
We were supposed to go back to Tampines to visit GongGong today. So, Daddy arranged for a swim date with Cindy @ Aunty Michelle's place - Gabriel KorKor will be there too but Ying Xin MeiMei could not make it this time.

We were the first to arrive. Aunty Michelle was there to welcome us @ the door. Not long after, Aunty Kelly arrived with Gabriel. We played @ Cindy's play area while the adults had some cake and "Qing Tang" before we changed and went down to the pool.

The swimming session was a rather short one (lasted around 15 min @ most) coz the sky was very dark and the rain started to pour. We had our fun though - with Cindy and me sitting in our floats and Gabriel took turns to push Cindy and me... hehe.

We took turns to wash up and it was time for me to have my milk. While I was having my milk, Aunty Kelly decided to leave first coz Gabriel KorKor would be having his nap soon. For us - Daddy decided to stay on for a bit longer and wait for the rain to stop. Finally, the rain appeared to be lighter and we left Aunty Michelle's place @ around 4.30pm.

Shopping @ Bras Basah Complex
I felt asleep on Mommy's shoulder minutes after we left Aunty Michelle's place and it started to rain heavily again. Daddy and Mommy didn't know where to go. In the end, they decided to take a LONG LONG (around 50 min) bus journey to Bras Basah Complex - I spent the whole journey sleeping on the seat.

When I woke up, Daddy and Mommy had just alighted the bus. There was this book fair @ the first level of the complex. Daddy and Mommy knew that I LOVE books a lot and they bought me 7 new books… =).

After the shopping, we had dinner @ the Jack's Place. As usual, I had my porridge (also ate some of Daddy's baked potato and chocolate mousse cake)... yummy. =)

Today, Mommy "complained" that I was very noisy while I was having my dinner @ Jack's Place. I used to be more reserved, quiet and timid when I was outside – now I am more "vocal". =P

Today is NaiNai's Birthday

Today is NaiNai's birthday. Mommy brought me to wish NaiNai "Happy Birthday" first thing in the morning.

In the evening, GuGu brought Aidan KorKor over to wish NaiNai "Happy Birthday" as well. Aidan loves to mess up my play area and runs around the place a lot whenever he is here. I hope that I can start running around like Aidan KorKor very soon.

NaiNai's Birthday Dinner

NaiNai's Birthday Dinner
NaiNai will be 55 this Thursday. Daddy and GuGu decided to celebrate with her in advance by bring her to a simple dinner @ Fish & Co (@ Bugis Junction). Aidan KorKor was there too. It was still early after the dinner and we had a walk in Seiyu. We saw a lot of nice clothes but Daddy and Mommy would not be buying coz I had received a lot of clothes for my birthday.

Daddy collected the photos (1 '12R', 1 '8R' and 4 '5R's) from I-Studio today. The photos turned out fine. Daddy mentioned that he would be framing up the '12R' into a wall-mounting frame while the '8R' into a desktop frame.

Picnic @ East Coast Park

Daddy woke up rather early today and was busy in the kitchen since then - wondering what was he up to and suddenly I remembered that we would be going to East Coast Park for a picnic with my friends – HOORAY!!!

While we were @ East Coast Park MacDonald, we ran into Sharwyn JieJie having her hot cake. Uncle Eric was very kind to offer me some hot cake for breakfast. THANK YOU Uncle Eric. =)

Soon after, Gabriel KorKor joined us @ the MacDonald as well and he came in style - he came in riding with his tricycle... hehe. We hanged around for awhile before making our way to the beach to look for a nice little spot for our picnic.

Quinn KorKor was the last to join us @ our picnic site. The adults had their food and we also had our own baby food. We had some toys to play with as well. Gabriel KorKor and Sharwyn JieJie went down to the beach for a walk – but I didn't. But I did have a test ride on Gabriel KorKor's tricycle (Daddy wants to buy one for me but he isn't sure if I will like it). It was fun but not as fun as Gabriel KorKor had on his tricycle – Gabriel KorKor knows how to steer the tricycle in the direction that he wants to go while I don't know how to do that. =(

Aunty Serene was very sweet – she remembered my birthday and gave me a birthday present as well. THANK YOU Aunty Serene. =)

Aunty Sharon has a very sharp sense of smell (she can smell that the rain is coming... hehe). She warned us that the rain might be coming soon and we quickly packed up and left for Parkway Parade. I was so tired that I felt asleep while we were on our way to Parkway (it was already 12pm - no wonder I was tired).

When I woke up, I was sleeping in my pram (in Burger King). Wonder if I had missed out on anything but Daddy assured me that I didn't miss much coz they were just walking around the shopping mall before finally settled down for a drink in BK.

Finally, I bid farewell to all my friends @ around 2pm and Daddy and Mommy headed to the foodcourt for their lunch. After that, we went home straight coz Daddy and Mommy wanted to get some rest before going out for dinner later in the evening.

Sleeping with NaiNai

Daddy and Mommy had a great and undisturbed sleep last night as I spent a night in NaiNai's room. No complaint from NaiNai as well although I woke up twice - @ 1am plus and 5am plus but a few pats on my back managed to put me back to my dreamland again. I overheard from NaiNai that such arrangements will permanent for weekends.

Morning Swim
It had been a long time since I last had a swim. Daddy commented that they should bring me to swim more often as I will be outgrowing my current thermal swimwear soon. Mommy was very mean when she was putting on my thermal swimwear for me – she told me to breathe in when she was pulling the zip (of the thermal swimwear). Daddy was worse – he added that if I didn't breathe in, the zip might catch my tummy while it was on the way up. =(

It had been a long time since I last swam and I wasn't really comfortable in the pool – I was rather clingy and took around 20 min to warm up. We spent another 20 min in the pool before we left the pool.

After the swim, Daddy and Mommy went to a nearby hawker center to eat and I got to eat some chwee kueh as well... hehe.

My Lunch Special – Mushroom Porridge
I had a very "colourful" porridge today – green ("dou miao"), white ("tou fu" and fish), black (mushroom) and red (wolfberry). Daddy even commented that my porridge smelled and looked like cream of mushroom soup... wahaha.

Dinner @ HarbourFront
Daddy and Mommy usually eat out on Saturday evening coz NaiNai seldom cooks on Saturday. We ended up in HarbourFront again (This was the second time I came here in this week). I had my porridge there. Daddy even brought some books along so that I could entertain myself while they were eating.

After dinner, we had a nice walk around the shopping mall. Daddy bought some ingredients for making sandwiches (coz we are going to have a picnic tomorrow) before we called it a night.
