A Rainy Morning

It rained heavily this morning and the whole family overslept. We usually woke up @ around 6.45am but today we slept until 7.45am (NaiNai didn't wake us up coz Daddy and Mommy were not going to work). After the rain had stopped, they sent me to Nanny's place and went off to shop for my birthday party.

Daddy and Mommy want to bring me for a studio photo shoot and they have been searching for one. In the end, Daddy signs up for a package with I-studio and went down to pay the deposit today (a lot of my friends took their pic with them too). After that, they went shopping and bought some cloths for themselves and some little presents for Aidan KorKor and Keith KorKor too. I also benefited from it coz I received a toy from Daddy too... =)

My Birthday Celebration Plan Part 1

Steamed Egg Breakfast
I had steamed egg with cereal for breakfast this morning. It was the first time I had steamed egg and it was really really yummy. I finished everything that Mommy had prepared and she was so pleased with me. =)

My Birthday Celebration Plan
Just overheard Daddy and Mommy's plan for my birthday. At first they want to book a private room @ Mouth Restaurant. But the manager wants Daddy and Mommy to spend minimum of $300.00 there in order to use the private room. Daddy and Mommy feet that it is too expensive coz only 10 person will be attending (not value for $$$) and they may as well go to Noble House instead (they held their wedding there and love the food there).

Then Daddy called Noble House to ask about their private room. Even worse, they want Daddy and Mommy to spend minimum of $450.00 for the use of the private room. My cheapo Daddy almost fainted on the spot.

In the end, Daddy and Mommy decided to throw a mini party for me @ home with only 10+ guests. NaiNai, Daddy and Mommy will handle everything.

An Embarrassing Incident
Daddy and Mommy brought me to Raffles City Shopping Center to eat my lunch. After lunch, we spent some time watching the fountain @ the basement. The water will shoot out from the ground with certain pattern and the water will move to and fro too – so interesting!!!

After that, they brought me to order my birthday cake. It is an ice-cream cake (cookie and cream) from Haagen-Dazs. Mommy said that the ice cream is very nice – hope that I will have the chance to have a bite @ it (I will definitely bite BIG BIG =P).

After they had ordered the cake, they noticed that I LS again (not really LS lah, just loose stool due to teething) and they needed to change my diaper. They were hoping that the baby changing room would be empty so that I would not embarrass them again (coz last time got 1 boy complained to his mum that the room "stink stink" when I changed there once). Unfortunately, there were a few babies in the baby changing room. Daddy and Mommy decided to do a fast one and they occupied the extreme left changer (which has a sink nearby). While they were cleaning my butt, I decided to stand and look around. They got no choice but to clean me while I was standing. And to make the matter worse, I started to pee while Mommy was cleaning me. Daddy and Mommy were SHOCKED. =P

In the end, Daddy had to clear up the place before we hurrily left the scene of my "crime". Lucky Daddy brought an extra piece of cloth with him today.

After leaving the "crime scene", we took a bus home. Actually I prefers taking bus (to taking taxi), it is bigger and more things for me to play with. There are many other people on the bus too (rather than Daddy, Mommy, me and the driver uncle).

Uncle Yi Zhao's Wedding

Immediately after I woke up from my afternoon nap @ 5pm, Mommy quickly dressed me up and we rushed off to attend Uncle Yi Zhao's solemnization @ the hotel ballroom. I didn't manage to witness the whole ceremony coz when I tried to "ask" some questions, Mommy quickly carried me away - she was afraid that I might make too much noise during the ceremony.

As usual, wedding dinner never starts on time and of course I had to have my dinner (porridge) before all the guests had theirs.
Throughout the dinner, a lot of uncles and aunties came and wanted to carry me (of coz I never let them to do that). Then they resorted to "molesting" and pinching my cheeks, arms and thighs. =(

The wedding dinner was very boring – didn't understand how come adult can just sit there for a few hours to eat? When it was my bedtime, they had no intention to leave @ all. What to do? In the end, I had to sleep in my pram. I only realized that I had reached home when Daddy and Mommy woke me up for a change of cloth @ 11pm.

Today's Special - Steamed Cod Fish Pasta

Today's Special: Steam Cod Fish Pasta with ABC Veg Soup
Today's lunch special was: Steamed cod fish (lots and lots of fish meat) pasta with pumpkin and brocolli in milk completed with ABC vegetable soup. I didn't eat much @ first and Mommy thought that I might not be hungry and I was going to waste all her hard work again. Actually I was just getting bored with the way I was having my lunch. Luckily Daddy thought of a more interesting method to feed me (or at least I thought that it was interesting) – he started to feed me with plain rice using a pair of chopstick. Seeing that I wanted food (and that I was hungry for more food), Daddy started to feed my remaining lunch with the chopstick instead. In the end, I finished almost everything. But, Daddy complained that I smelled like a fish after my lunch =P.

The Art of Balancing
After my lunch, Daddy and Mommy brought me to OG for a short shopping trip (we could not go out for too long coz they would be bringing me to Uncle Yi Zhao's Wedding dinner later tonight). We were supposed to shop for a birthday present for Ying Xin MeiMei. They let me had a good workout today. They held my hands (one on each side) and let me walked around OG. I even took my maiden escalator ride. While I was doing my shopping, Daddy noticed that I could stand without any support for a good 3-5 sec.

Sharwyn Birthday Party

We rushed down to Sharwyn JieJie's party immediately after my lesson ended @ 3pm. @ the party, I met up with all my friends - Cindy, Justin, Rhyan, Tricia, YingXin, Gabriel, Kieran and birthday gal Sharwyn (of coz).

As usual, it took me some time to warm up for the party. I spent a wonderful time playing in the bouncing castle, crawling around and riding on the horse. I had such a great time that I didn't take my afternoon nap. No wonder I felt so sleepy and ZZZZZZ @ around 8pm.

Thank you Sharwyn JieJie, Aunty Sharon and Uncle Eric for inviting us to the party =).

Wondered whether I am going to have a big party like Sharwyn's but think I overheard mummy and daddy saying that it will be a small celebration. I am going to protest that when I can talk. =(

My First Birthday Present
My 1st birthday is still far away (around 2 more weeks to go) but I received my very first birthday present today =). Thank you Aunty Kelly for the lovely dress.

My Last Lesson @ Kindermusik

I woke up today feeling much better. My running nose had stopped but Daddy and Mommy wanted to give me another assessment after my morning nap before deciding whether to let me go for my lesson and Sharwyn JieJie’s birthday party. Guess what… I passed the assessment with flying colours and off we went for the lesson. =)

Todays Special - Red Rice Vercimelli

Today's Special – Red Rice Vercimelli
Today is Saturday. Saturday is the day when Mommy will cook for me. And today's lunch special is - Red rice vercimelli with minced meat (main course) and Steamed fish with broccoli topped with melted cheese (side dish)... sounds yummy =). Too bad I was not in the mood to eat coz I was not feeling really well (I am having running nose and a fever). In the end, I only manage to eat a small potion of the lunch – wasted Mommy's effort.

Feeling Unwell
Ya boy... Don't know who passed the stupid bug to me. I was down with a slight running nose since last night. Daddy and Mommy were praying hard that I would recover in time for Sharwyn JieJie's birthday party on Sunday. Mommy even noticed that I was having a fever (@ 38.6 deg) and she pasted this thing on my forehead that was supposed to help to bring down my temperature. I looked very ugly with that on and that thing never lasted 15 min on my forehead.

My First Hotcake Breakfast

Daddy didn't go to work today (coz he is changing his job soon and clearing his leave) and Mommy didn't need to go to office today (coz she need to attend a meeting @ a nearby place). So, they brought me to eat breakfast with them @ Uncle M's restaurant before Daddy drop me off @ nanny's place. I had my very first Hotcake breakfast today. Nothing special about the Hotcake... I don't really fancy that after a few bites (especially with no syrup and margarine). I still prefer my fruit puff... hehe.

OMG... My 8th and 9th Tooth are Out Too !!!!!

OMG... ... Daddy could not believe his eyes when he brushed my teeth today. He actually spotted my no. 8th and no. 9th tooth cutting out. Can you imagine that? I am cutting 5 TEETH @ one go. No wonder I feel CRANKY!!!!! I guess I am making up for lost time... =P

I am a Late Developer

Daddy and Mommy always say that I am a slow developer. A lot of my friends who are younger than me are doing many things that I am not able to do. Although they say that it is alright for me to develop @ my own pace, I am sure that they will be very pleased when I surprise them one of those days. Today, I decided to show them two things that I never do before.

a) Self Feeding
I decided to show Daddy and Mommy that I am able to feed myself with my hands. When Mommy placed a fruit puff in my hand today, I managed to put it into my mouth (after a few tries of coz... =P). Mommy was very happy and gave me a few more just to ensure that that was not a fluke. And I managed to put every single one into my mouth without fail. Mommy was a very happy mum. As for me, I was a happy baby too coz I ate some yummy puffs... hehe.


b) Crawl on Fours
Oh boy... crawling on fours is hard. I did that today for awhile and Daddy saw that. He was very happy that I finally did it. But I still prefer to crawl on my tummy commando style. It is much faster this way... =P

I Touched A Cat

There was a black cat at the Pasir Ris Park's holiday chalet. Daddy asked me if I wanted to touch it. I touched its ear and the ear MOVED... hehe – it was fun. I think I have started to like cats coz I will see one almost every day while I am on the way to nanny's place or back home. We have a lot of cat puzzles on the wall in the room and Mommy likes to ask me: " Where are the cats?" and I can always correctly look at the cats puzzles which makes Mommy very happy. Not sure why is she so excited as I can get it right by either looking at the wall (the cats) or the cupboard (the stars). Mommy will only ask two questions ie " where are the stars or where are the cats?" So 50% chance of it right, I will get it right by guessing lor... hehe =P

Today is Godgrandpa's 60th Birthday

Today is God-grandpa's 60th birthday celebration. So, we went back to visit GongGong, TaiMa and YiYi at the same time before going over to the celebration in the evening @ Pasir Ris Park. YiYi bought me a new toy today – it is a moving hen towing 3 little chickens behind. The hen will make a lot of sound when it moves. Mommy complained that it was very noisy.


First Outing in New Shoes
Today was also the first day I wore shoes out. I am still not used to it yet so I will also fussed when forced to walk... but I think I will slowly get used to it as I have tried to walk for a short distance with Daddy's help in the chalet.

(i) Daddy and Mommy will spend the whole day with me ...
(ii) Mommy will make breakfast for me ...
(iii) Mommy will cook delicious meals for me ...
(iv) Daddy or Mommy will shower me ...
(v) Daddy and Mommy will bring me out to gai gai ...

I like Saturdays and Sundays. =)

This morning, Daddy spotted my 7th tooth cutting out from the bottom.

Saying "No" or "No More"
I don't know how to say "No" yet. But it is my way of telling people "No" or "No More".
